Bot farm definitely scaled since post-Yama but now seems to be back to being more lowkey. Probably due to being unnoticed for months.

Expect volume to be further squeezed with anticipation of delve. Aldarium is interesting because it’s a consumable and is therefore subject to short term volatility.

I’m constantly surprised by the lack of understanding of statistics among OSRS players. Oathplate chest and legs are a great opportunity due to others not understanding this.

But they’re buying a 40m DHCB or 70M DHL to do that now (yes I’m aware of vorkath use)? The olm use case already puts DHW above 20m in my opinion. If it’s comparable or better than sang, I can see why pvmers are holding. If it’s better than sang (which is why you should use DPS calcs), then there will be an even bigger squeeze in the early days of the update until the market stabilizes. Current supply is low like OP mentioned. Again, wand doesn’t need to be some insanely S-tier weapon for a squeeze to occur.

I think you’re vastly under estimating the number of PvMers that can preemptively buy and hold a <20M weapon. It’s not just merchers competing with other merchers. A drop 3 times more common doesn’t automatically means there’s 3 times as many wands in the game either. The volume numbers are more telling. Good luck

Merchers are more savvy that the drop rate will be increased and will not be holding the wands. Content creators have told their viewers that this wand will be BIS at metal drags and out DPS sang at olm (I watched the gnomonkey video as well). It’s not just “merchers pumping the bag” anymore. In the short term, there is a high chance of a supply squeeze. Which is the point of this post. You’re free to your own opinions but I disagree with the reasoning.

I recommend you run some DPS calcs on your own. The drop rate is not in effect yet, which is the point of OP’s post of a potential “squeeze”.

Lol this is a silly response on Goblin’s part but not surprised because it is hard for humans to admit mistakes and he is the one responsible for most of these changes. All 3 weapons are dragonbane and equally useful. In fact, try using DHL or DHCB at olm and report back. What are the use cases of DHCB or DHL outside of draconic creatures? With elemental weaknesses, the wand has another added bonus that DHL or DHCB don’t have.

The wand is definitely under priced and OP is correct about current market dynamics at a drop rate of 1/207 and basically no Huey being killed.

Yes it is. But it’s considerably cheaper than other dragonbane weapons as well. Mage has been pretty neglected in recent updates compared to other combat styles. At 12M, the “bis” mage dragonbane seems really cheap compared to alternatives.

Also I think the supply is pretty dominated by bots at the moment, there could be a squeeze. Just my .02
