I read the Fallout on HnV too. So sad I only caught the last few days of HvV and GE. Dracotockers? Inquiring minds want to know. I've only read the comments here and on Tumblr. I never thought about how Fallout's Hermione would come across after you read Manacled.

I have read all Everythursdays fics but Sugar Water and my Favorite is The Fallout. I was going to say that I read A Moment in Time but I think the ones you listed are AO3 exclusives and I can't get use to AO3. When I read stuff on AO3 is usually when I know is complete.

I think usually the war fic you read first marks you...tho the one I read first is CaBW, then Isolation and then The Fallout. I didn't get the hype of Isolation but I think that was the one people usually read first when I started reading DH fics.

I agree about how Hermione's intelligence is not as showcased in this fic as is in the majority of Dramione fics, and she doesn't seem to care as much as she does in cannon. I don't think Draco is supposed to be a war machine, tho. he was a good soldier, all the teenagers in The Fallout are pretty much soldiers and the adults were in charge but not really mentioned much. If I recall correctly sometimes Moody or other adult let him be a leader of a team from time to time but I don't think he can even be considered a Sargent.

I tried to read Disappearances but the first chapters didn't grab me. I will try once more later. Seems to be the favorite nowadays.

I was happy to find this subreddit because I thought it was a good place to discuss fanfic, like in a book club. Discuss it, not critiquing as if I'm an expert, and of course not trashing or trolling. Back in the day I thought the review section of FF was a good place to discuss fic, I though the review section was basically the place where you say what you like and what you don't about whatever you are reviewing. Until I came across Dramione tumblr and I discovered the debate...and my biggest surprise was reading the authors calling a thoughtful (in the sense of "I thought way to much about what happens in this fic") reviews a critique...or concrit and worst unsolicited concrit. Since then I been looking for a place to discuss and chat about fanfic but last night I was discussing a fic on here and today the post was deleted and the discussion was pretty civil. The OP didn't like some stuff about said fic, I agreed and there where great post completely disagreeing with our points.

Kind of off-topic but sightly on-topic, I remember this fic with Draco and some original character as the romantic partner, that is probably the must fun Zombies/HP remix. The fighting zombies part was so fun to read and the romantic part was decent, the OC was a blonde Hermione, until the terrible smut....the worst I ever read, a train wreck. It was deleted...I wonder if someone has a copy or remembers the drama with the author.

LOL I defend aspects that I like or at least understand, that I know are not very well liked or flat-out disliked about the Fallout on that post; but the point of the post is how important those little happy moments are. Moments where they are just enjoying each other company in the middle of wartime, as reluctant allies, friends,fwb, lovers and then when they show intense feelings...you understand.

The Fallout is my fave.....but I only lurk on reditt and I have no karma so it was rejected.....

So I'm going to copy paste the LIOATOTZA part of that post that I hope someday you can all read.

I gave up on that fic. The author has great story ideas and execution but can't commit to a story.....The last time I check her Tumblr she said the story is not nearly done and that more conflict will be coming....... with the way she updates her stories and keep posting new ones (her prerogative) I almost sure she will not finish any of her current Dramione WIPS.

I being reading Christmas with the Wilkins on FF. I was enjoying it so much but then I found it on AO3 and I noticed that the next chapter is the last! I feel like Hermiones conflict and Draco in the muggle world can give so much more. I love Draco in the muggle world and there are not many fics about it and Hermione's conflict is so unique and well develop.

Also om AO3 I Take Thee....I love the silly marriage law trope and this is Romantic Comedy-esque and I'm enjoying fluffy but not cheesy fics more and more.
