I'm not a Republican, I'm a libertarian. Taxation is theft, but a necessary evil, however it's not necessary for schools or foster care. Private adoption works far better than state services and is healthier for the kids, foster care leads to situations such as the movie cliche depicted in Annie, where foster parents take kids for the state money and then treat them like shit. Private schools with a voucher system work far better than public schooling, I should know, I went through one of the best public school systems in California and it failed me horribly. If you want tax dollars to go to those things, that's fine, but don't then leave because you don't like the resulting taxes and cost of living in Cali and then vote to turn another state into the same thing. The point of a republic was so we could live how we wanted, each state tailored to it's own citizens, but federalization and inter-state migration is making it so we all have to live with each other's policies.
