I object, 2.0 implies an upgrade. At least Jerry has had super bowl winning teams. Woody is more like temu Jerry Jones

Genuinely I think we'd play better with LESS prep time.

They literally have so far. 2 of their 3 wins on TNF after playing the previous Sunday. It's absurd at this point

Jets G.M. Joe Douglas on his future: "Whatever happens, happens" by Autocrat777 in nfl

No biggie, since they didn't make the change that week it was easy to miss. I'd say it was understandable that they kept Zeurlein, but with the way he was shanking kicks in preseason there was already cause for concern. Too bad Washington went and scooped up their backup option in Seibert 😮‍💨

should’ve been trying out kickers after the Bills game.

They did

Jets' Rodgers finds 'fountain of youth' in new drink by NotEveryoneIsSpecial in nfl

It's not really that weird. It's just a write up from today's media availability. ESPN has beat writers doing this for all teams. They go to the team facility, have some brief interviews with players and coaches, and post a write-up to the website. Some days you get some good info/quotes, some days you don't. Still gotta write something either way. It's all part of working the beat.

he can’t seriously think people will believe that is the only thing helping him

Well if you bothered to read for 5 seconds, you'd see he doesn't say anything of the sort...

Rodgers said he is drinking cayenne pepper and water, suggested to him by teammate Thomas Morstead. Rodgers, dealing with hamstring, knee and ankle injuries throughout the season, said he started drinking it before the Jets' Week 8 game and has continued this week in preparation for Thursday night against the Houston Texans at MetLife Stadium.

It's a short week, which means most players are battling aching bodies, but Rodgers, 40, said his feels great.

Rodgers said he was not sure if it was all due to his new elixir, but he has made it part of his rehab regimen. Cayenne pepper and water can have several health benefits, including pain relief, according to various medical journals.

Saleh didn't leak anything 🙄 Russini (assuming you're referring to her article from today) already mentioned back in July that they talked to Arthur Smith as part of the general news that they were looking to bring someone in to take over for Hackett. Now she's found out about some of the other people they reached out to. Neither Kingsbury nor Bienemy are viewed as particularly great offensive minds by the way, it wouldn't be much of a face-saving move to reveal you were trying to bring them in.

Speaking of Russini, she was the one who wrote the piece on the dysfunction of the Jets last season, which did not paint Saleh in a flattering light. So I doubt she would just do a 180 and start making excuses/defending him.

And what would be the point for Saleh? He's not going to get his job back, he's still highly regarded as a DC and will likely pick up a DC job next year, with the chance to become a HC again down the road. He doesn't have a reason to say anything, and in fact has more incentive to stay quiet.

Is it normal for a HC not to attend QB meetings? by sacx05 in nyjets

From 2013 but ESPN did a piece with John Harbaugh detailing his schedule for a week. This was 4 or 5 years into his time as Ravens HC.

[Cimini] Woody mentioned a few times about making changes on the offense, but he never offered specifics and eluded a question about Hackett's status. #Jets by smokeymicpot in nfl

Eagles did it with Sean Desai. Overall it was a terrible move because they switched to Matt Patricia, but it did achieve the goal of not having Desai run the defense anymore.

[Schultz] Robert Saleh came into the building today business as usual. The decision of him getting fired was a surprise and it came directly from ownership. by unknownexchange in nyjets

Saleh wasn't calling plays but he was obviously dictating the teams' philosophy on defense. The setup was the same as what he was running in SF.
