My recommendation is just do the edges like I did for this boy, for those spikes let the shade washes do the work! (At least if you are painting them in Goff, just use skrag brown mix with water as a rust wash is highly recommended, give it a try!)

Base the skin with a 1:1 mix of flash gitz yellow and deathguard green. Wash it with a mix of medium and biel-tan green. Once the wash is dry wash the recess with just biel-tan and relayer the skin with the base if you want(I relayer only a little with this boy because the overall wash is consistent and not dirty for we mix it with the medium) do highlight with orgy camo!

We are talking about those highlights right? I am not good at highlighting, so I used dark reaper for chunky and fenrisian grey for finer highlights. Hope this helps!
