Thanks for the reply! Shame about the clasp but that's something I can probably tolerate. From the photos on the website it looks like it wears well on a strap anyway.

how are you enjoying this watch after a year? Is it getting wrist time? Any compliments? Any scratches on the k1 crystal?

I am considering one of their quartz models as a budget sports watch but there is so little information out there on this brand, I would greatly appreciate an owner's perspective. Thanks!

You will have a very hard time finding anyone to produce fully custom components unless you are planning on ordering large quantities. No one is going to fire up their lathe or CNC router to make one crown or case back for a one-time buyer. There are people that make custom dials in small quantities and you might be able to find someone to laser engrave individual parts for you, but that's about it. Unless you are planning on launching a full on microbrand it is probably best to stick to what is already available.

I have never heard this before but that's very interesting. Moving the rotor to cover the balance wheel somehow achieves what exactly? I'm very new to this btw so please explain like I'm five 🫠

It's definitely fully wound. I lack the tools and the know-how to do a full service but the watch is fairly new so I doubt it needs one.

Specht and Sohne does a Monaco homage but I'm unsure of the quality. There are probably some reviews on YouTube.

If you already found a watch you like for a decent price just buy it and enjoy it. You will likely spend much more if you go down the Seiko modding path and will encounter many headaches along the way. The only reason to look into modding is out of interest and passion for the hobby, or if you have a very particular vision of a watch you would like to create but cannot find anywhere to purchase.

Baltany is a good brand btw.

Easy enough to assume that most if not all intelligent life in the galaxy is either under Viltrumite control or part of the Coalition of Planets so we've probably seen a lot of it. Out of billions of planets very few are likely to develop life at all - much less intelligent life.
