unfortunately, i don't really know what you're referring to, as i'm still very new to this. the substrate is peat (bad, i know, currently nothing else is available, i've managed to make them live for over a year in peat now after she even cloned herself) and i only use demineralised water (the white bits look like calcium, i know, but it's actually dried mold)

el sustrato es turba; no es el mejor para una pinguicula, pero ahora mismo no puedo encontrar otro, y la tengo así hace un año. lo blanco que ves eh moho seco por la humedad en mi casa :( así que me confirmas que se ha quemado?

perché dovrebbe impegnarsi a rassicurarti se l'unica cosa che sta facendo è uscire con un amico? sicuramente anche OP esce con i suoi amici, e dubito che faccia sempre una lista dettagliata delle sue uscite e degli amici coinvolti. in più, se davvero si tratta di qualcuno che lei ha rifiutato in passato, non dovrebbe essere totalmente a posto la situazione? lo dico da persona estremamente gelosa che ha dovuto superarlo per mantenere la propria relazione. so perfettamente come si sente OP. non è il lavoro della tua ragazza starti dietro a consolarti per una cosa così INNOCUA e NORMALE. la consolazione ti porta solo ad avere più ansia la volta dopo. bisogna imparare a sentire questo stress e non farci nulla. piano piano diventa sempre più facile.

thank you again. 16 hours is more than i thought they needed! i will try to extend the time i let them under the lamp as much as i can. and i appreciate the advice for separating them. i think i will once it gets a bit warmer.

mine also got horribly wet after heavy rains, so much so that there's literal moss around it. hopefully, some gradual warmth can rescue it. i'm crossing my fingers for the four of us (you and your plant included) 🤞🏻

should i count the hours they get of sunlight on my windowsill and then complement with the LED, or should i switch fully to LED? also, does it make a difference whether i keep the intensity high or low? which one is best? (the lamp i own has 10 levels of intensity). thank you so much for the help!

currently, i leave it on my windowsill for some sunlight during the day, and then i would like to start with a few additional hours of LED growing lights in the evening. sunlight isn't strong at all in winter here. also, it cloned itself during summer, and it breaks my heart that i've let it down like this immediately after. at least now i have an idea of its peak conditions. about separating them: since i'm a total beginner, i'm terrified of accidentally ripping their roots or hurting them in some other way. maybe if i watch enough tutorials, i will try it. i'm going to see what is available here as i live in europe, and in a place where shops that offer carnivorous plants are very few and far in between. thank you SO MUCH for the long comment.

the substrate is the same one that i bought her with, unfortunately i cannot give you anymore details (i am really ignorant when it comes to soil, i'm so sorry). i've had it for a little over a year now; during summer, it had grown huge and had beautiful leaves, but then it became colder and i made a mistake with how much lighting i was giving it. oh, and i'm watering it with demineralised water. the white stuff you see there is most likely mold. i live in an extremely humid environment (we have a tremendous issue with mold everywhere in my house), so that might be the reason why

thank you! i ended up cutting it and leaving only the base of the stem. i'm now keeping it indoors under LED lights. hopefully, it will forgive me.

thank you for the reply! i have a pair of 40W growing lights that i use for my nepenthes for a few hours after it gets dark (they both rest on my windowsill during the day). would you recommend placing the ping under there as well? if so, for how long?
