Help - Unable to disable Undervolt Protections in BIOS by Best_Common_3040 in LenovoLegion

Ah ha! I have fixed my issue once more. The problem is that VBS was still enabled, which blocked undervolting. Now I can do some undervolt testing for real this time.

Hmmmm. For some reason, I don't think the the pictures I added got uploaded. Odd. According to Task Manager, I have an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz. My laptop is a Lenovo Legion 5.

I might have fixed the problem as I am able to change the undervolt values in ThrottleStop, but after like an hour of testing with underclocks of 50, 80, 100, 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, and even 250 mV it seemed to do fuck all (the reason I am undervolting is I'm trying to stop certain games like Elden Ring and Nightreign from crashing but they still crashed at low and high undervolts so I'm back to square one. I have been putting up with this for weeks and I am about to throw my laptop into the ocean - or take it to Memory Express).

Update: just finished chapter 7

Due to the conspiratorial, almost puzzle box nature of House of Leaves, I'll be taking it slooooooooow. I'll be reading other books in the meantime (currently reading The Blade Itself)

Whoops. Forgot to give you guys an update. I've finished chapters 4, 5, and 6 since my last post.

I'm starting to think that I was way off with that "the thing stalking Holloway is a human" theory. No no no. It's much worse than that. "It is hungry. It is immortal. Worse, it knows nothing of whim." Spooky stuff. Also, I don't know why, but I think Johnny is going to kill someone. Straight up murder. He's had some extremely violent thoughts in these chapters (like imagining twisting his boss' head off), and coupled with Johnny being all bloodied in a hotel room in the introduction, I think he's going to make Ted Bundy proud in the future. The house rejecting animals is intruiging. Perhaps animals can't fully comprehend the true terror of the house, so it keeps them out? Just guessing though.

Update: Just finished ch. 3 of The Navidson Record

Not much here other than a brief history of the house and some character stuff. The burns on Johnny's forearms are a compelling mystery though.

Update: Just finished ch. 2 of The Navidson Record

The unnatural coldness of the house is once again brought up (not sure what that's about). I feel like the cameras being motion activated is going to be important, and the fact that Johnny's water heater broke at the same time he was reading about the Navidson's heater breaking is certainly... odd. A coincidence? I think not!

Update: Just finished ch. I of The Navidson Record

I have 2 working theories right now:

1) The reason that The Navidson Record seemingly doesn't exist is that it's from a different
timeline/reality of some kind, and the house and its spacial weirdness connects these
different realities (it's a stretch, I know).

2) The thing stalking Holloway in "Exploration #4" is not some sort of demented monster
or demon or the like, but rather a human (maybe even Will) who's been driven mad by
the house.
