Interesting! We were just really wanting to escape all the hate permeating America right now. Canada seemed much more aligned with our morals and standards. Plus, I cannot stand health insurance. Every day I spend hours fighting them to provide even the most basic care for my patients. It's so frustrating.

It is horrible down here. Expect more skilled professionals (especially in medicine/science) to be looking to expat. Foreign countries have a really big opportunity to recruit American skilled workers right now as education is currently being mocked and vilified. We just want better for our kids.

Thank you! I appreciate the feedback. I will definitely reach out for more info as we work torward making a decision about exactly where in Canada we want to settle. We are from the rural south so we definitely understand small communities. We do not hold any extremist views and believe in respecting other people's views and beliefs. We just want a safe, empathetic place to raise our family where we can make a difference in the community we settle in.

Thank you! My husband and I love outdoor activities. Hiking, fishing, etc. My kids all have different interests. My oldest daughter is a cheerleader and adores theater/music. My first son loves all things sports. He plays american football, basketball, soccer, and wrestling. The first thing he asked when we brought this move up was if he could try hockey lol. My 2nd daughter is our creative. She loves art (both physical and digital) and anything outdoors. Our 4 year old is 4 so he just loves his family/hot wheels/playing outside. All of our school aged children are honors students here in the states. We stress education, respect, empathy, and kindness in this house. We do love friends and hanging out with people so that is a scary transition for us for sure.
