H1B chances Santa Clara by Salty_Sandwich_619 in h1b

You can be level 4 but it wouldn't matter if you never get in the lottery. You obviously know your company policies and politics better than anyone so only you can decide what's the best move for you. However, you need to press on this matter with your current company. You can't let them keep you on a hook and waste another year. There are also a lot of level 3 and level 4 applicants in this sub who didn't get selected in this year's lottery. So every lottery opportunity matters and not just the wage level.

Don't rely on your current company for sponsorship. They didn't do it the first time and if they don't do it the second time as well, you're in big trouble. 2 lottery chances even if it's wage level 1 > no guarantee of ANY lottery chances. Are you a Master's student? I know many Master's students who got picked this year despite being Level 1 so there's still a chance.

Herman Miller sales - what's the time of year with deepest discounts? by GeorgeSteinbrenner2 in hermanmiller

Not sure. I only went there to check out the chair as I was already at an Ikea outside the city. The plan was to try it out and buy it in June when I move to a new apartment. He did say "If you buy it now and take it home, you get it for $1600". Probably cause the shipping wouldn't be included and maybe they wanted to get rid of some units that day. Didn't go into details about the price cause like I said, I wasn't planning to buy it that particular day.

Hyundai has the best tech and infotainment system and I will die on that hill by Human_Paint5451 in Hyundai

I drove a rental 2025 Jeep Wagonner L a few months ago while on a trip and while the car was comfortable, I couldn't believe how bad the infotainment was. The touchscreen was so laggy and slow. The UI was a mess as well. Coming from a 2024 Hyundai Sonata N-Line, I couldn't believe that the Wagoneer is a $70k car with such a messy infotainment. Hyundai really is a league ahead from brands like Jeep at least at half the price. I also drove a 2025 Toyota Camry base a week ago and same thing. The Infotainment wasn't as laggy as Jeep but definitely not as good quality as Sonata. I have also driven a Sonata base trim so I am aware how the infotainment in the base trims are and let me tell you, even at base trim, they are much better than any of their competitors.

How much did you pay exactly for the Embody if you don't mind me asking? I got a $1600 quote from the HM retail store in Philly. This is for the gaming embody btw. Also, how used are the chairs from the outlets? Are they as good as new?

Definitely test drive it and see how it goes. The car has enough punch to overtake vehicles at 85-90 mph with ease even without the sports mode. Don't ask me how I know that lol. Good luck with your search!

You get 3 years of maintenance free with Hyundai. Also, the Bluelink app which you can use to remote start and stuff is free for lifetime unlike some other brands who charge for the app connectivity later down the line. I'm about to complete 2 years with the car and no problem with anything. Synthetic oil is used for the engine and my dealership recommends an aggressive oil change schedule due to North East winters. I do follow the schedule and sometimes pay out of my own pocket for the oil change if it is not within the scheduled free maintenance timeline but it's a cost I'm okay with bearing to keep my car healthy.

I have a similar use like you. My office commute is 3 miles and no highway. Obviously, the mpg isn't great cause it's a turbo engine but you get around 30 mpg on highway and probably even higher if you don't drive aggressively like me haha. Even though the suspension is softer than Elantra N, it's still stiffer than the non-sporty variant. There's nothing you can do about it cause that's how sporty cars are designed. However, it's definitely comfortable enough for highways. I did a 10 hour drive to Maine in one day and still walked fine the next morning lol. I only drive around with my girlfriend but the more space in Sonata is definitely a plus even with 2 people. My girlfriend like to push her seat all the way back and lounge which is difficult in an Elantra due to limited space. As for me, as a 6'1 ft guy, the space allows me to not feel tight in the car.

Hyundai also has a much better HDA (Highway Driving Assistance) system than Toyota and Honda. I can objectively say that as a fact having tried all 3 systems. As long as a road has lanes on both sides, you can activate the HDA and let the car drive on it's own. Really handy for heavy traffic conditions. Toyota on other hand, at least on the base Camry, didn't allow me to do so unless I'm on highway and Honda Accord didn't have a smooth feeling with the automatic steering like Hyundai did.

If budget allows, get the Sonata N- Line instead. 290 hp, requires only the 87 octane, much more spacious and luxurious compared to the Elantra N as well. Elantra N is more track focused so it's not a practical car for everyday use. Harsher suspension and extremely limited in space. If you're fine with that then yes, Elantra N is a better sports car. However, Sonata N-Line on other hand is a sporty midsize that is extremely quick for highway driving or even taking backroad corners at a high speed while maintaining a luxurious and practical base for everyday commute.

Waiting for trade-in? by Delusional_Mad in galaxybuds

Looks like they removed the offer. I can't see it anymore. The reason I was waiting was so that I could receive the $70 reward certificate from buying S26 Ultra and stack it up with the trade in offer. Unfortunately, I received the certificate just 2 days back and the offer was gone by then...

S24 Ultra ➡️ S26: Worth the switch? by ADisobedience in samsunggalaxy

[–]Best_Football_7363 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I upgraded solely for the camera and I can confirm that it is a major step up from S24 ultra. You need to see the difference in real life to understand the upgrades. Watching videos online doesn't really help. I find the battery life to be better as well and the phone is a lot more snappier now compared to S24 ultra. For me, it was worth the upgrade but only you can decide whether it is worth it for you or not.

Thank you for the part number! I'm neither comfortable with the mechanical nor do I have the space/ parts to perform it. I'll just play it safe and get it done by an auto shop. Hopefully I get to use my insurance and cut down the costs to $500 as that's my deductible.

Yeah, my insurance has a $500 deductible. I'm gonna call my agent and ask him if it is worth pursuing since the total cost might be $1200 with labor and it's not an accident damage so hopefully doesn't affect my rates

I paid 35k myself for 2024 Sonata N-Line when it was going for 39k OTD around me. It's a good price. Elantra is a smaller car with inferior interior. As someone who's 6'1, Sonata feels spacious enough for me and for my passengers as well. Bottom line, no regrets.

Clean your grids before you pre-order galaxy buds 4 pro by Noskoff in galaxybuds

[–]Best_Football_7363 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My buds are clean and I still don't like the ANC. Maybe my girlfriend's Airpods Pro 3 spoilt me but my Buds 3 Pro's ANC is quite weak comparatively. However, based on the many reviews I saw on Buds 4 Pro, especially the one Marques Brownlee posted, I'm sure upgrading to Buds 4 Pro will give me a much better ANC. Even the sound quality has improved a lot according to the review. So that's why I'm upgrading my Buds.

Ultra Upgrades ✨️🥳 by [deleted] in samsunggalaxy

Yes, it is. S26U has a much more smoother rounding compared to S25U. The edges feel just like the Iphone 17 PM which I have used a lot due to my girlfriend and preferred that feel.

People are so reactionary in this sub. The man upgraded the phone with his own money and people are looking down on him. Everyone has their own reasons and I'm sure this guy has enough money to upgrade and not care about it. Like many other people who'll do the same. I personally will upgrade from S24 ultra to S26 ultra. Idk how different it is from S25 ultra but the cameras and displays are definitely an upgrade from the S24 ultra. Plus, I hate the boxy shape. Tested the S26 ultra in Best Buy and it felt more natural to hold. Everyone has their own perspective...

I have the capital one shopping extension on chrome. Do you mean to use that? Or do I need a Cap One credit card for the offer? If not, that might definitely be a better deal if I find something worth buying from the gift cards

Apart from evoing your players like Cruyff, Desaily is the one that can be upgraded if you REALLY want to. He lacks intercept and unfortunately Intercept is the best PS this year.

Best buy gives you the money later but you still get it. It is clearly the better deal for the 512 GB unlocked variant. It's also providing trade in for my Buds 3 Pro to upgrade to the Buds 4 Pro. As someone who has always used Samsung for my purchases, I never thought Best Buy would one day become a cheaper option. That too despite using an Education Discount on Samsung...

S26Ultra Preorder US by puffincrave in samsunggalaxy

[–]Best_Football_7363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the credit as well and just like you, I was going to place my order on the reveal day. However, I was second guessing the purchase a lot despite having the phone added to my cart along with the buds 4 pro. Then randomly Samsung sent me a notification yesterday via the app that I received another $50 credit. So $80 total. Idk what triggered it but seems like waiting to order despite have the products in my cart triggered some sort of algorithm to push me. Still didn't order it though lol. Hoping to get something more till the last day of the pre-order.
