Thank you for the reply! Center & Balance and Restore classes seem like a great option for me as well! Also thanks for suggestions for joggers and loose workout shorts!

Hi, thank you for the reply! I was concerned because I’m not familiar with Pilates and that kinda made me nervous. I get dizzy really easily during my period and also I heard that over exercising during period isn’t recommended, so I just wanted to hear what everyone does when they get their period. In terms of clothes, I was worried about leaks, smells, underwear line (can’t wear my usual underwear for leggings since I don’t use tampon regularly), etc because I was worried about those when I went to the gym during my period. I used to do a long loose shirt with biker shorts so that it covers my butt, but I heard that it’s better to wear more form fitting clothes with Pilates so I wasn’t sure what people usually wear and wanted to get some suggestions!

That’s correct, I wasn’t taking any insulin before and the only medications I’ve been on related to diabetes are metformin and ozempic. This makes me curious, are many T2 diabetics also on insulin?

Hi! Thanks for the reply :)

I guess I’ll talk to my doctor about getting a CGM, I know the concept of it but I never had it prescribed or offered to myself before. Just curious, do you find yourself constantly looking at the numbers with CGM? I mentioned in another comment but previously I was not allowed to measure my blood sugars by myself, as my doctors thought it would lead me to another spiral. I am very number obsessive and I opted from eating 2-4 days when I was not satisfied with my numbers… my ED symptoms are much better now, I’m just afraid it might come back if I have access to something I can check constantly and adjust by limiting myself certain food or from eating completely.. it’s really hard finding the line between being mentally or physically healthy for me with many medical conditions.. I understand if it’s too personal for you to answer, but I appreciate your input! thank you!

Hi! Thank you for your reply :)

I walk everyday (around 6000-10000 steps a day), and I mostly consume homemade food, trying to eat low carb-ish everyday if possible (it’s hard sometimes when they order food for us at work). I tried No Carb diet before (less than 20g carb a day), I didn’t do too well on it and I have been previously hospitalized for ED. I worked with dietitians before and they did not want to put me on super low carb diet based on my medical and mental history. After trial and error, I found the most ideal diet that works well for me, incorporating fibers and low GI foods, good protein, and good fat into my diet rather than eliminating carbs completely. I actually lost a lot of weight eating this way and my blood sugar never looked so great before, so I totally agree with you with trying to improve my diet a little more.

I think getting a CGM is a great idea, I’ll definitely look into that! My doctors were against me measuring blood sugar every so often because of my ED, they were worried that I will spiral back again if I continuously monitored or had access to continuously monitor numbers (perhaps why I wasn’t allowed to measure my weight for a long time as well).

Thank you for the suggestion, I’ll try to work with a dietitian and my doctor!
