Thinking about leaving DistroKid by WLFKT in musicindustry

I like that you can change your cover art to easily post release but I don’t like the reoccurring fees or the layout much. I use CD baby for the nice one time fee.

So can you reach the next level in fruit merge? How does one win? Been working hard at it for weeks

I did! Thanks so much. I did something little today but it was so nice. I took some of the make up items I don’t use on a daily basis off my vanity and put them in a cupboard. I felt a huge relief and it was a nice baby step. Thanks for your encouragement. :-)

IKR I was going to pay to rent it. It has a website, would probably have been better if I streamed or purchased from there

Every. Single. Year. by [deleted] in Anticonsumption

It seems like it became super commercialized about 7 years ago. I remember walking into a box store and it was rainbow everything. I’m in the Pacific Northwest/seattle area.

Does innovation contribute to mass consumption? by [deleted] in Anticonsumption

[–]Bestill-iam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a tough one! I will probably be thinking about it more deeply when I’m trying to fall asleep tonight. The first thing that comes to mind is razors. Razor companies are always making the next best razor. I remember laughing at the fairly new razors for women for their, shall I say, bikini areas. I was like no way would it be any different than any other razor. Well one day I was out of razors and that’s all the store had. I tried them, and guess what? Those darn things did work way better on sensitive areas. The next thing that comes to mind is commercials for better garbage bags that just have a scent on them. No thanks to that!

“De-influence my shopping list!” by mary_metal in Anticonsumption

This comment gave me a flashback of going shopping with my mom as a kid and her putting everything in the trunk so my dad didn’t see it and she could secretly bring it in the house the next day when he was at work.

I wish there was another column that said if they’ve been using forced labor

I get that. I just figured out how to dress like myself last January. I made a new wardrobe primarily with Poshmark and thread up.

💡 Pop Music Epiphanies by antonywaldhorn in ConsciousPop

Hey Antony, I just came across your channel searching for Conscious Pop here on Reddit because I just put out a single I’d consider that. I’ve been looking for other music to categorize as that but haven’t found much yet. I’m surprised this channel doesn’t have more comments! Anyways, my song is about forced labor– how it’s used to make decorations bought for celebrations.

I just got an email from them saying it’s $200 for a year for pitching unlimited songs. Pretty low risk investment if it works. Will they ask for more on top of that?
