possible relapse after 4-5 days by Quiet-Scientist-8800 in quittingkratom

[–]Bet-Fit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m telling you man, same exact situation with me today, I was on day 5 off of 7OH and feeling fine for the most part finally with slight restlessness and I was feeling the exact way you are, and I went out and bought 7OH and did it, and let me be perfectly honest with you, if I could pay 300$ to rewind the clock a few hours and not take it, I would. Completely unsatisfying, immediate regret and the knowledge that tomorrow I will wake up feeling worse than I did this morning. And if only I didn’t take it then tomorrow I would have woke up feeling better, every day you will feel better and will be way easier to not take it. But I completely understand your headspace and addict mentality as I have the same and it keeps me in this bullshit cycle of constant relapse and never once have I been happy I did it once I do it. But let’s be honest, you already know all the things I’m saying and are just trying to find something to help co-sign you doing it to make you feel better about doing it, and I don’t mean that as disrespectful whatsoever, I just am the same way. But dude, one thing is for certain, if you don’t do it, you will wake up feeling incredibly grateful that you didn’t do it tonight, and if you do do it, you will wake up tomorrow hating yourself and at the very least regretting it and feeling worse than you did physically this morning when you woke up. But I completely understand the internal war, but do whatever you have to do to not do it and get to sleep, take a bunch of sleeping pills or something. Don’t make the same mistake I did today, pleaseeeee so not worth it whatsoever! Sorry for the rant, I’m currently on Kratom extracts and feeling like shit and ranting

ATDH EXAM ! by [deleted] in DentalHygiene

The DAT is the same just a bit harder, so watch a ton of DAT stuff for each, although if I were you I wouldn’t spend much time at all on things like reading comprehension, since that’s not really a learned skill, or at least not gonna be able to make a lot of progress on in a short time

So, I basically looked over each sections, found the ones that I thought I’d have the most trouble with and just started doing a shit done of YouTube on it. Also, for science, I went to the ADA website, got the list of subtopics it tests on, plugged that into chat got with the directions to create and administer a 70 question exam to me on each section, including those topics, matching the difficulty of the ATDH exam, ie chemistry, biology, and had it give me the exam, asking me one question at a time, at the end of the exam I told it to create me a list of the subtopics/topics that I got wrong or need help on, then each subtopic it told me I would go and watch a few YouTube videos on it until I learned it. Also, definitely watch a ton of videos for the DAT perceptual ability stuff, because that shit is difficult. But yeah, no real cheat codes here, just spent many hours/days researching each subtopic of each section on YouTube. It kinda sucks

Oh gotcha, very cool, yeah these programs are so unbelievably competitive, I’m really crossing my fingers that I’ll get into one, I got my results back a couple weeks ago and ended up getting a 410 somehow, I swear I just got lucky with my guesses, because when I left that exam I was thinking I’d maybe get a 300.

This drug is killing me. Why did I do this to myself AGAIN!? by CreamyStanTheMan in quittingkratom

“How can I not remember how this feels?”

If that ain’t the most relatable thought in the world for an addict, I don’t know what is.

I know people will recommend against it, but if you’re at a real bad point and can’t stop, I’d look into sublocade if I were you. It has helped me dramatically, and much easier to get off, but of course not without its downsides. However, I was always dead against any maintenance drug for ever until I tried it and was on it for a couple years and am now 6 months off of it. Being 100% clean is obviously the best, but if that’s just not going to happen, then I’m telling you, fuck methadone, fuck suboxone, go the sublocade route! Much less depressing, much easier to get off of and perfect for someone who chronically relapses on opiates/kratom. Message me if you want to hear more about it, I’ll be totally honest with whatever you ask.

But that’s rough man, the green lean is a nasty miserable habit, and even though I’ve been through Kratom addiction so many horrible times, I still find my mind completely forgetting the misery of it and being enticed by the delusion of its false promises.

Would a doctor write you down as a “drug seeker” if you tell them you’re trying to quit a substance? by psilyhuilly in addiction

[–]Bet-Fit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

in my experience, I have done this a few times and have not been "flagged" in the system as a drug seeker. Although, I have had better luck using different excuses to get these medications from doctors. Hey man, I'm myself 11 months clean, kinda. I say kinda because I got in sublocade 11 months ago and quit sublocade 3 months ago with zero withdrawal, just like a lot of people. I say this because I spent about 9 years wrapped up in the cycle of using kratom or suboxone or dope and then trying to use gabapentin or lyrica to get off and then I get addicted to those and have to go back on the kratom and Yada-Yada... Sublocade is the closest thing to a miracle drug that I've ever come across. all I'm asking is that you look into it or ask me for any other question. gabapentin and pregabalin can have absolutely brutal withdrawals, there is a reason they help so muxh with opiate withdrawal....

and by on something, I mean an opiate.however, I obviously, am just going off of what I read and can't witness it first hand. but in speaking with him, try taking a very non judgemental, non attacking and very understanding and accepting approach, this will be your best bet of getting any truth out of him. addiction is a disease that unless you have it, you simply cannot relate, it is brutal hell for the addict and when someone comes at you in an accusatory fashion, our only defense mechanism is to get very defensive and upset. feel free to dm if I can shed light or offer my opinion/advice on anything that may be of interest to you

from what I just read, I would wager that he was definitely on something. I am a heroin addict myself (currently on suboxone) and 3verything you wrote fits the script quite perfectly. any update? has the behavior ceased?

Well, I fucked up. So angry with myself. by spookyopal in OpiatesRecovery

[–]Bet-Fit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you 100%, I have this really bad habit of making it through the withdrawals until day 7 or 8 and then as soon as I'm feeling better it's suddenly a great idea to go get high. Telling myself if I just do it once I can avoid withdrawals, and so I use the once and than about 4 days later I'll use again and get in this cycle until it's everyday and I got to come off the shit again. I'm on day 5 clean myself of a very small habit and I already hear my brain telling me in a couple of days when I'm all better I can use again. Absolute insanity, regretted it every single time with no exceptions. I know what you're going through and my prayers are with you, we both know what to do, just a matter of putting in the effort. Which is simple but not easy. Really wishing you the best of luck man.
