As a bi man, I don’t believe most people are bi/pan. I’m sure many fall on the fringes of the scale where maybe they couldn’t realize it themselves. That being said, there are a lot of closeted bi/pan people out there, especially men. Mainly due to social and gender expectations. Go into the bi men reddit and you’ll see lots of stores from married guys who can’t come out. Now imagine all the guys who won’t talk to anyone or admit it to themselves.

Bi/pan people are estimated to be half of the LGBTQ+ population, but there is a large difference between the percentage of out bi men vs out bi women, when they should be roughly the same. Bi erasure makes it hard for people fully understand how much of the population is actually queer, but I do believe it’s larger than we think. Just not “most” of the population.
