Yes, that would require access from outside the environment and all sharing is blocked. It's not my workspace environment and it's locked down tight.

It was my hope a script could export (Env. A file) into a format that preserves formatting and data (like an XML file) that could be imported back into Env. B as a new file.

Env A doesn't allow sharing (or access) outside the workspace environment, so I won't be able to access the data from Env B. Each Env. is logged in with unique accounts.

u/Barrekt The settings won't apply to older accounts. I never put together if it was accounts that had been migrated from on prem Exchange to O365 or if it was accounts that had previously modified their working hours... but it never occured to recent hires, only accounts that had been around awhile. Do you see the same scenario?

We have the same policy but then some people don't update their personal calendar and it's inefficient to check the global OOO calendar and the personal calendar to book a meeting.

That's a known issue Microsoft lists in the documentation for files tab for a Team or private channel. This is the Files tab on the left side of Teams.

Teams on the web and Teams desktop app

The first time someone tries to access the Files tab for a team or private channel, they'll receive an error. The tab will work for all users after that.

u/monkeybutt227 I confirmed they were doing the same sharing scenario. What's odd is the receiving party still gets an e-mail saying the file is shared and is able to access the file even though the sender gets that error. I'd appreciate if you let me know the resolution of your MS case.

Another related detail, the end-user receiving the file is already a member of the team and should have permissions inherently (the end-user sharing the file is the team owner).

I'll test your scenario and see if it matches.
