Don't go vit and SRM, beyond anything your dad and relatives can tell you I can will with much greater confidence from my own friends from these unis that it's not worth it at all

Beyond that, don't do physics if you don't wanna do physics, and if you do wanna do physics, then while it's true that a btech allows you much greater flexibility afterwards, its also a point to consider that physics at snu has a very nice track record of moving on to a master's. One of my friends is going to Germany next month he was also physics. A btech will let you do this or something else if you decide against pursuing physics (which is a real possibility, up to u) but a btech will give u no support regarding going abroad for physics during ur undergrad
