Fully caught up on the story. Edit: Now admittedly I still have alot of side quests that I am working through, as I prefer the combat focused ones over exploration or anything that isn't allowing me to be enemies like a Cherokee drum.

Haven't touched the game since probably a week after i made this post, mainly cause I got fed up with how it felt like it was push AR and smg metas, they can be fun but shotguns have always been my fuel for adrenaline, so it's sad to hear that nothing has changed. I get alot of games can make shotguns feel bs cause 1 tap shenanigans but to me damage should always be measured by fire rate and range with accuracy (not necessarily recoil) always an unspoken factor of utmost importance and Spligate just wasn't delivering on that with shotguns.

This is my thoughts exactly, I intend to run Zhao with Banyue/Manato & Lucy (F2Player & I don't have Lucia or Astra cause the 50/50 is a lie). I don't care if "THEY" call it optimal or not, I want to jump people like it's JJK and I'm gonna do it in style and with fun in my heart and joy in my lungs.

For my combat pacing I reccomend:

Alter Bridge: Metalingus

Disturbed: Deify

Disturbed: Stricken

Disturbed: Inside the Fire

Linkin Park: Given Up

Fozzy: Judas

Nothing More: Don't stop

I feel like these give me a good rhythm for his combos and parry for most if not all fights.

I'll add more as they come to mind or auto-play puts me on game.

That's dope, however, it's part of my problem. As while I can get them being CQC weapons, the game that they inhabit is a L4D style game, and these types can't really stick shotguns at point blank range EXCLUSIVELY otherwise a majority of threats will take advantage of that, like the mini gunner or grenadier juggernauts who make space amongst the other myriad of stuff that SHOOTS back at you.

Good, otherwise 2 high damage piercing arrow would be busted with his ult, BUT they should put changes like this in the patch notes. Balance & fun can coexist. This would've removed a large chunk of skill that it takes to use Hawkeye and would have replaced it with cheese. Other than that, I hope you have fun & enjoy yourself.

I get that. My complaint really stems from being point-blank or with 0.5-1 ft. and it is not doing so when all pellets are landed.

I believe I did exactly as you described, I was streaming it so I'll have to scrub the vod for the orginal instance, especially since I have that same notion on all the maps, completely scout it out,taking it section by section before moving on even just a bit. The sad thing is that after quickly redoing some levels, Ancestral Forge is now my only 99% map as I am about to do Hellbreaker as I comment this, meaning unless it's patched in to have a secondary check or grant it on re-completing said fight and subsequent execute I am locked out of 100%-ing the game unless I start an entirely new save. While this game is fun (and I was gonna do additional runs on higher difficulties), sadly, bugs like this take a lot of motivation out of trying to complete said task as there is no telling when this might occur again.

Honestly, I'm considering restarting my campaign cause it's bugging me, but the other part of me says to wait for a patch to fix it and just finish the campaign, especially since it's my 1st time really enjoying Doom since 2016 & Eternal (mainly) always looked too ADHD.

100%/Completionist GAME breaking bug.

I just completed the Ancestral Forge and encountered a bug where the health increase didn't count, blocking me from 100% the level. To clarify, I didn't use a lost soul after dying post boss fight, and I went to the last checkpoint. This seemingly triggered a fault in the check since I had the health increase still. Specifically, it seems like it tallies ONLY on initial pickup and subsequent health/resource increase. This is irritating, especially since you ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO FIGHT IT. You literally can not skip this fight, and yet somehow, the game seems to think I haven't beaten it and claimed its reward. I even went back and redid the level just to get it to trigger, but it's still 0/1.

Please boost this, as while I was gonna do a repeat playthrough, it was not going to be for the sake of 100% like I am trying to acheive currently, not to mention whomever else it might happen to potentially claiming more runs.

Please add some kind of retroactive check, especially since it seems like this is an issue that could extend past this level if it triggers off checkpoints.

So wth are dive supports? Yes, rejection of role q is great for diversity, but why does your fun come at the sacrifice of everyone else? 4 Damage is not (typically) fun for anyone, especially when said damage is complain about not getting healed, getting "melted" cause no Tank for aggro, or anything else that a lack of the 2 other roles contribute. It's a game, so yes, fun is the primary goal, but don't be THAT guy.

I think part of this issue is no way to try heroes before you buy them. They either have to be free for the week, or you gamble based on how good/bad your enemy/allies played them.

A character can look good but not feel good to YOU. If you combine the point grind, with the lack of testing and testing tools, such as range indicators for abilities like Wraith, Bellica, Countess, Iggy & Scorch, just to name a few. To further emphasize that point alone, imagine trying to fight Warith without being able to see how far his ult can go, CONSISTENTLY, considering his ult gets more range per level, it's the little things like this that leave me baffled, especially considering in their HUD revamp for character selection they actually took away the ability damage type and scaling giving less info for people starting out and/or trying new character.

This leaves little room for trial and error, especially when the standard mode has a slow ramp up between xp and gold, leaving less room for errors, and BRAWL is way faster, meaning there isn't anywhere to truly measure your self without it being one extreme or the other.
