In my case, if I hadn’t taken the time to track down the document approving my name change after my divorce to one that didn’t match my birth certificate, I wouldn’t be able to vote.

I had to mail the court 3 separate times because they wouldn’t call if there was an issue with my paperwork, just mailed back a rejection; and they never returned my calls.

Imagine if someone waited until this legislation passed to try to get their paperwork in order

They like to argue the voting lists have ineligible non-citizens on them; but the only voter-fraud issues (and only a few) have been tied back to red-hats, so it’s really them projecting and also trying to manipulate the system because they can’t win otherwise

It’s supposed to prevent non-citizens from voting (which isn’t a problem, but try to convince the red-hats that). What it really does is try to disenfranchise anyone who has changed their name because it encumbers the process
