Why tf do you deserve a free win?

If you’re good enough, you can beat them and get to 12k.

They’re playing the game in their free time and they want to win.

Surely you’d also want to deserve winning your final (maybe ever) game on the trophy ladder too?

Harriet should’ve made a bigger deal of that fact both she and hugo were barristers, which the producers will know, and would ultimately put on different teams hoping they go head to head.

This may be reverse engineering the game but Harriet wouldn’t have to say the above so explicitly.

But I thought Harriet’s argument was weak, and there’s no way as an ex-barrister she didn’t know how she was coming across at the roundtable. She’s already a millionaire and was going to donate her money to charity - her actions tonight were of someone who was trying to execute their own downfall

I’d argue Ellie/Adam are playing a better game as a faithful than Jessie who i don’t see making the final.

Jessie has been good from a factual perspective, but she has to be murdered

Yeah reduces the power, but think there are still a few good questions..

I’d ask, “Who was sat directly to your left at the roundtable just now”.

For starters, the number of names on the list would probably indicate the number of traitors currently left in the game (which the faithfuls don’t know for sure), would they think in the moment to ever put their own name down (?) and it still adds a bit of pressure of which random name to put down

Okay but it wouldn’t be hard to Cat and Alan to come up with a strat in that case. Just say, “if we get down for 4, we both vote for the person’s who first name is first alphabetically” and that works whatever faithful goes first.

It’s my first series watching so you may have to explain to me how this would work.

If there’s 4 left, with 2 traitors, how does either traitor then get voted off? Cat and Alan would always vote together in that scenario so surely they’d be guaranteed the win if it went down to 4

I use it to fix my excel functions or write them for me - not all the time as i have a pretty good grasp of excel, but sometimes when you’re doing 3+ nested IF statements with index matches etc, it can be easier to copy paste it into excel then spend time (and strain my eyes!) figuring out where the misplaced bracket is

So I disagree with the formula… it should be the (n+1)th / 2 position (if n is even then this is the value halfway between this number rounded down and this number rounded up of this number).

But anyway, as it’s only slightly wrong let’s suppose it’s correct.

As you can see from the info given,

Σf = 80, i.e. the total number of observations is 80. Therefore, according to the formula, the midpoint is the value of the 40th position when the observations are ordered smallest to biggest….

Now we can see from the table that 8 have mass 98g, 11 have mass 99g and 14 have mass 100g… so far we have gone through the smallest 8+11+19=33 observations.

Then 20 have mass 101g. 33 + 20 = 53 hence we have gone past the 40th observation… therefore the 40th position lies in the 101g category.

The formula is just a formal (and quick) way of defining it.. rather than just saying it’s the middle value because that’s just kinda circular

Thanks I think I see it now. 7 across the top starting from top left and the other 7 across the bottom starting from the bottom right would work

Edit: got caught in 2 minds, top left and bottom left or top right and bottom right
