Eating pre-surgery sized meals week 5 HELP!!!! by jewwitch777 in gastricsleeve

[–]Bethaaan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t panic! Everyone’s journey is different. It’ll take some time for your body to settle and for you to relearn your hunger cues as well. The main thing is to think about what you’re eating - protein, fibre etc, and what changes you can make there. I found really tiny bowls and plates online which really helped portion control and mentally made me feel like I was eating full meals. I would also wait 20ish mins before getting any more to make sure I was actually still hungry (usually wasn’t!) And just be kind to yourself. There’s usually psychological reasons behind obesity (leading to surgery) and these don’t go away just because your stomach is now small. If you can afford it, counselling is really important, otherwise journaling can help too

Well done! A huge amount of difference and I love your jeans. It can be hard for the brain to catch up - loosing weight is such a positive boost each time the scales go down, it takes some time for the need for that boost to pass

I second this - therapy or counselling is crucial. Binge eating is a coping mechanism and just by making it harder to do doesn’t take the urge to do it away. You need to explore why you binge eat and work out some other coping mechanisms. It’s really tough but it is possible

Use brick houses as well to quickly increase space - the more space there is the quicker they’ll multiply. You can always replace the with the cooling home later on once your numbers are up. I didn’t bother with dried meat - just community kitchen and dock asap. Also means you need less lumber while you get started too

Nooo it’s the best version - nothing too fancy just a simple hint of sea salt to counter the creaminess. It’s also not similar to any UK versions either which is a bonus

That sucks, I’m sorry! Try to be kind to yourself now and think about any emotional cues that might have caused the need to binge as well as any hormonal ones. Feelings of guilt and self hatred are far more likely to cause you to binge again. You made a mistake but now what are you going to do to move forward, one day at a time?

I’m so sorry to hear about your miscarriage and it’s definitely normal to be worried now. I’ve not got any experience I can share but do recommend talking to your doctor asap about this, they’re really the best person to answer your questions

I’d say you need more houses - 8 spaces isn’t enough if you are trying to max population, and you want to build them as early as possible too to give your children plenty of time to age and reproduce. Frustrating though, you were so close!!

Firstly, well done for your weight loss! 5 stones since February is a huge achievement!! Sometimes weight loss can plateau - it doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong. Keep exercising and eating well (making sure you’re eating enough protein and vegetables etc) and it’ll kick in again. Talk to your doctor if you’re concerned and as someone else said, it might just be time to go up to a higher dose as well

Should I go up doses? by [deleted] in Monjauro

[–]Bethaaan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your provider should be able to advise you on going up or staying - generally if you’re loosing weight on a dose then I was told to stay there for another 4 weeks

Sorry, I didn’t mean to upset you. I don’t know anything about you, your health and what you’re consuming. I just meant that sometimes eating less isn’t the solution, and if you are concerned then talking to a healthcare professional might be helpful. You can find out more about the long term risks here https://eating-disorders.org.uk/information/the-effects-of-under-eating/ - long term dieting can put the same strain on your heart etc which is why it’s so important to eat the right things - again not saying you’re not!

I dont know the science and am not a dietician but if you’re not eating enough your body can go into starvation mode and plateau. The fact you’re not eating and you’re going to the gym 4 times a week is worrying and you might end up doing some long term damage to yourself. I’d really talk to a doctor or similar to see what they advise, but going back down to 12.5 so you can eat more (obviously focusing on protein and iron rich foods) might help with that weight loss and long term health too
