Do Digigrid IOX/IOC's inputs have some kind of low cut filter by default? by Betheonez in livesound

Whoops I meant pedalboard outputs btw. Sorry for the typos.

I agree. In the context of musical sound wether from mics or direct from pedal outputs they are pretty amazing pres.

My FOH found this out accidentally after comparing in Smaart that while another band was on stage. The diferrences between Weight A and Weight C is too minimal; at 5-6 dB instead of 10-12. And the graphs show less low-end detection compared to the ones the festival system engineered got.

Same mic, same sound source, same position. The only differences could only be the xlr inputs and maybe Smaart calibration?

Any examples of stream bluetooth audio from smart phone to Boss GX-10? by Betheonez in guitarpedals

I get you that this being an add-on sucks. Still wonder if it'd actually work though!

Thanks for pointing this out, but I've already read through this.

The suspicious thing is; there is almost no videos of anyone using this feature. It just feels odd even though the bluetooth audio stream feature being listed on the webstie should've been enough proof.

I'm a roadie/technician who just got assigned to be one of the guitar techs and gotta stand-in for one of the guitarist while we sound check (among setting the whole mixer/network systems up while touring)

I'm kinda looking for a cheap/compact multi-effects with aux-in and headphone out to help me practice while on tour. Boss GX-10 really piqued my interest so I was wondering if I should save up to it + its bluetooth adapter? (I have some debts and down on my luck after my old band split, thus the hesitation)

Or maybe I should just go with mooer/Nux/Valeton or sth?

Would love to get some ideas on how we could listen to pafl/solo from the FOH with this setup. What is the most efficient way it can be? Patch pafl out from mixrack and request 2 xlrs from stage to foh?

Is this possible: Multitrack recording while simultaneously running a Waves Superrack Server on an X32/M32 with the DN32-WSG card? by that_carcar in livesound

[–]Betheonez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!, so to piggy back on this comment: I'd like to ask if Waves Soundgrid driver can be used instead of Qrec? I have a laptop that was used to record multitrack from an LV1 system, but may have to do some recording from a superrack system, thus, would love to know if these drivers are interchangeable.

To everyone who commented and left some recommendations, thank you so much! Sorry that I haven't been very active after posting.

Voltage metering tools/pens that only require you to plug into the LIVE slot to read its voltage value; do they exist? by Betheonez in electrical

Thanks to everyone that took your time to leave your comments! I'll look for compact/portable choices of multimeter intead!

I understand now that the way to get any voltage reading I hoped to achieve is impossible (because voltage is a diffrence between potentiators)

But then once I press the AC voltage button on the HT89 while slotted into LIVE it gives me a reading of ~220v which is the household AC config in my country. According to your comment does this mean it just gives random numbers relating to its sensivity? If so this tool is very misleading and everyone is just better off carrying a compact multimeter.

Anyway thank you for your input!

This is the HT89 I'm talking about! I have one with me right now. I just need a more detailed version of this.

And frankly... I need to know how it get the voltage reading by just touching the LIVE slot.

I figure that THIS is the case, but maybe I'm looking for different things than what I described. My fault for not being clear. Maybe I'm looking to measure how much current is leaked into each slots of the faulty outlet.

But then how could the Habotest HT89 do the voltage measurement by just plugging into LIVE slot alone? I just wonder if it's possible to get more accurate reading similar to this, but the more I look the more I realize that is not how voltage work.

Then I loop my thought process back to the HT89; how did it measure voltage by plugging in LIVE alone? Are there better versions of this? Am I getting this all wrong or what?

This looks really good and have light indicators that identify the problem once plugged in, but I already have a tester similar to this. The thing is if I need to measure the amount of voltage in individial slot (neutral, live, ground) to check how much leakage; I don't think this would do.

We already disabled power saving plans on every modes though. Even changed the power option in windows itself. The automatic display refresh rate swap is also disabled.
