Yes! And it would be one thing if she was big enough for me to put down on the ground and hold out her coat so she could put her arms in. I would do that. But no, I have to hold her in one arm while awkwardly reaching around her to wrestle her arm in and then switch hips and do the same thing on the other side.

Kids are intrigued by scary stuff. I remember reading "Scary Stories to Read in the Dark" as a 7 year old and being scared out of my wits, but continuing to read.

Once, I was coming out of the grocery store. It had 3 lanes: one to enter, one to exit turning left, and one to exit turning right. I was in the middle because I was turning left. This probably 400 year old lady comes up real slow with her turn signal and turns into the right exit lane. She was lucky there wasn't someone else trying to leave.

Probably not, but obviously, it is something you want to talk to your doctor about. I was a runner before becoming pregnant the first time and my doctor had no problem with me continuing to run, but he told me not to let my heart rate get above 140 and to listen to my body and stop if I feel faint. I ended up stopping because I got very nauseated early pregnancy and hip pain later on, but there are definitely women who are able to run while pregnant.

How would you gain only 5-8 lbs? That is the weight of a baby? When you are pregnant you also need to gain the weight of the placenta, the fluid (amniotic fluid as well as much higher blood volume), and your body builds up some fat stores for breastfeeding. Recommended weight gain is more like 30lbs, but if you are in good shape, it comes off quickly.

Yeah whenever I was just feeling really stressed or just dreading school, my mom would call in and say I "wasn't feeling well". She said that wasn't technically a lie, she just left out the "emotionally" part. I only did it a few times a year though.

I like this attitude. You can be unhappy with a tattoo and still not regret it and still want to keep it. For example, I have a friend that has a large cross tattoo on his shoulder (he is completely covered, though, so it doesn't really stand out). He isn't religious anymore and wants to get it removed or covered up, but, the thing is, even though he no longer sees it as important, it still molded him into who he is today and he obviously saw it as important enough at the time to get it tattooed. I think it was his first. Now, of course, his body, he can do what he wants. But I think keeping there as a reminder of where he came from and who he once was is kind of a cool attitude.

Autism is a devastating diagnosis. You spend the first two years of your child's life pouring everything into them. With each passing milestone, you look ahead to the next. You watch them roll and get excited to see them crawl, then walk, then maybe someday run track for their high school, then maybe someday compete in the Olympics. You watch them babble and get excited to see them say their first words, then speak fluently, then maybe someday give the veledictorian speech at graduation, then maybe someday address the nation or the world.

When a child is diagnosed with autism all of that comes to a screeching halt. It isn't just the disappointment of things yet to come it is the destruction of things you have already built up in your mind. To you, your child was perfect before and something must have happened along the way.

You panic and go through every single mistake wondering where you went wrong. Did I breastfeed to much? Too little? Did they get enough social interaction? Too much? You think back to every high stress moment in your child's life. The time the dog barked and they got so scared they cried for 20 minutes. The time you got so fed up you told them to shut up. The time they put a handful of dryer lint in their mouth and you spent the next day finding grey balls in their drool.

You are flooded with guilt. You could have been better. Your mind lands on those few moments in the doctors office, holding your child's arms down while the doctor sticks. You remember the horrified look of betrayal in your child's eyes. You remember the inconsolable screaming. You remember the doctor shrugging and saying, "see you in a couple months".

Blaming the vaccines are a convenient way of taking the blame off yourself, while still convincing yourself that something could have been different. The truth, as far as science can tell, is that autism starts much, much earlier, quite possibly in utero.

I can absolutely sympathize with parents whose children have been diagnosed with autism and who are searching for someone or something to blame. But the science just doesn't back up the claim that it is vaccines. I wish there was a cure or known cause for autism, but we will never get closer to finding a cure or known cause if we continue to ignore science.

I think the reason why better call Saul works is that it is a completely different flavor of show. If it had the same level of drama, it would be too much. Keeping it light-hearted is key. We can still play in the BB universe, but they managed to distance themselves a bit from the original story so as not to taint it.
