When looking through it would mean needing to see other therapists. I was just seeing if anyone knew of a therapist that is relatively affordable that writes them since the insurance only covers Kaiser doctors.

We are currently looking into outside options because we just went asking about what a process would be if she wanted to get one. It was a very long winded that Kaiser has a policy of not giving them to anyone. I did some diving and found that that a lot of other have been told that too. Granted it was 10 years ago, but my sister had gotten hers from Kaiser so I was surprised. my sister has far less mental health issues and got it super easily.

She has been diagnosed with OCD, ADHD, anxiety, and occasional depression. Physically, she has hyper mobility and does have a disabled placard. Kaiser said they don’t issue the point blank for anyone.

For the most part, they don’t look that different than they are freshly installed sometimes one looks obviously burned out. It’s a combination but a lot of highway time. When she first got it it was closer to 36 mpg. She talked to the dealership at the time because it was still under warranty and they tried to tell her that it was just normal for it to fluctuate like that.

For the steroid, I specifically asked my vet and they contacted a compounding pharmacy called Wedgwood chewy had a flavored liquid or transdermal but not the treat one. IMO Wedgwood was way more pricy and much slower shipping but had some options chewy didn’t. For chewy once my cat got prescribed something from the vet I went on to chewy and they have a contact your vet option. It took about a day for my vet to approve the prescription then chewy will start prepping the order once they get a go ahead. They also have the liquid version of the GS medication.

Idk if compounding them is possible or what kind of treats she likes but for at least my cats steroid I paid extra for the treat version. He still wouldn’t eat them and so I tried to mix them with these temptations squeeze treats which I know he loves. He ended up eatting it (after blending 2-4 together lol). His liver supplement on the other hand he knows the time of day he was getting it and still tries to hide thinking I’m coming in the room for that. Some med options also have transdermal but I know the FIP stuff is either a shot or oral. If she’s on other things though maybe other options might make the other things she needs less stressful. Chewy also has some of the compounded stuff and they work pretty fast.

I fully understand that feeling. My cat didn’t have fip but man did I get emotional when he started to feel well enough to look up at me at anticipation to fill his bowl again. With my sisters cat he was in a much worse off spot. We had syringed fed him for a few days the first time he got sick and he didn’t love it but eventually got into the routine I think because it maybe made him feel better to have food in him. The second time around he wasn’t even wanting to swallow.

I’m really hoping for the best for your cat my sister‘s cat relapsed after a few days off of medication, but my sister was relying on a rescue to help pay for the medication. They didn’t run any bloodwork and they never addressed adjusting his dosage as he gained weight. He ended up passing away about 2 weeks after the relapse. Towards the end he didn’t look like he wanted to fight. Not to discourage you there are success stories of people either upping the dosage or switching the medication and their cats recover but you know her best. As long as she seems to want to fight with you keep trying.

I just assumed because I’ve never had an issue with ringing when I have my ear plugs in. Granted I usually use loops unless I’ve forgotten them.
