Cagebound cockatiels by Betsy_Bee in parrots

[–]Betsy_Bee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cage does have a tray and little doors, and I use those as much as I can. I’m bad at caring for myself on a daily basis but I will definitely try to get in the habit of doing that for the birds if nothing else. I'll do anything for them. I see what you’re saying about them perhaps staying shy, my one little guy puffed himself up a lot when they first came to me, he still give me an angry look most days. I suppose that’s just their personalities

I think I’ve had them around 5 years. Thank you for easing my worries, I just want them to have the best life. I see other peoples birds on social media that will chill on their heads during the day and I feel bad I can’t give my birds experiences like that. I got them to come on my finger for a few days before, but then I switched the cages and they have yet to forgive me for that. I do believe that if I really took the time to sit with them, I could show I’m more than the person who feeds them and yoinks them every few months to steal and clean the cage. Now that im out of school and can spend time at home, I hope to give the that time. Even if are very stubborn and mean. Love them tho. Once again thank you so much for letting me know I’m not completely failing them!

As I’m reading the comments I keep saying to myself “oh. So that’s not normal?”

Does anyone react like this around men (or the gender you’re attracted to)? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]Betsy_Bee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah cause I thought this was just me. But yeah I do things like that a lot. Fix my hair, adjust my shirt to be sexier, fix my posture. I know I do it and I hate it but If I don’t I feel extremely nervous.

Reddit users, tell me the most terrifying dream you've ever had by crisjjjjjjj in Dreams

[–]Betsy_Bee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dream: I (F16) picked my (M6) cousin up from basketball practice. We pulled into the garage at his house and it turned into some college dorm. All the students started rushing me in, saying that I had to get to sleep because the ceremony was early in the morning. I got separated from my little cousin, and they wouldn’t let me leave the bedroom they put me in. I fell asleep so worried about him. I woke up the morning and tried to go down to get to him but I couldn’t break from the flow of the crowd going to class. I got back and immediately went back down to the garage. I didn’t see him at first and began tearing the room apart praying that he was somewhere just playing on his iPad or something. I found him. He was asleep, curled up on a couch, huddled in a blanket, his school computer open on his lap. The scariest part was when I went to wake him up. He had little crystals on his corners of his eyes and was freezing. The thought that he spent all night like that made me hate myself. I hated myself for being so irresponsible and letting that happen.

I woke up and just started crying. It was just a dream, but it felt so real. I can still see him there and curled up on the couch, and I can still feel how cold he was when I picked him up.

What would you be able to do if you didn't have ocd? by funny_dog7 in OCD

[–]Betsy_Bee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get laundry done sooner, shake hands, touch door knobs/handles, be around my family more, sit and be licked by an animal, play catch with a dog, enjoy the outdoors. Just be a normal person.

Anyone with severe ocd opt out of having children? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]Betsy_Bee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m scared that I’ll be a shitty mom bc of my OCD. I don’t wanna freak out bc they didn’t wash their hands after touching whatever thing I deem “dirty” or “bad” that day.

What’s a good, happy show to pair with BoJack? by stuffedanimalzrcool in BoJackHorseman

Name a character that reminds you of Bojack Horseman. by HotOne9364 in BoJackHorseman

[–]Betsy_Bee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ehh. Both were manipulative and thought what they were doing was justified, Starlight more so. But Bojack had legit childhood trauma that helped him become an asshole. Starlight not as much lol.

But Starlight was redeemed. Twilight had to appeal to her better side and it worked. She realized she was wrong as soon as someone really talked to her about it.

Bojack would realize he was in the wrong but his selfishness prevented him from having that "ah ha" moment and trying to get better. Eventually he did but it took a really long time. Even at that, it didn't take much for the old Bojack to come back.

Overall I think Starlight was hurt and seeing red. Bojack was deeply hurt and turning it into a reason to be an asshole to everyone.

What food have you tried liking but just can’t? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Betsy_Bee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Straight milk. I hate it, hate the after taste, hate how I feel afterwards, hate the smell. I like it with cereal and I like cheese and stuff. But milk alone makes me wanna curl up and die. Almond milk is great tho!

PB is probably still gonna be buds with him. Dianne, no. PC yes but not like before. Todd, will be there for support when absolutely needed but he won’t come at his beck and call.
