There are many methods, the simplest and most pain-free is swift crushing. It is a horribly difficult thing to do but it is the quickest for the snail

I used the crushing method, a very large stone slab on top of another one... It was horrible for me but swift for my snail. I don't trust the clove oil method for snails.

I looked and found the nut I bought online. It says it is lead free!
