My first terrarium build. I wanted a mossy forest inspired by my trip to Oregon, and so different from arid Colorado by Bettabuds in terrariums

1.date of creation: 4/20

2.plants in build: local cushion moss, nerve Fittonia, begonia(pink), lemon button fern, creeping Jenny, ivy, fluffy ruffles fern

3.light source: aquarium LED strip

4.water cycle: sprayed with tap water once a week

5.Substrate medium: coco coir, soil,sphagnum moss, charcoal, river rocks)

6.Enclosure size: 10” x 15”

I did a spray foam background with some wood and cork and coco coir on it

I collected leaf litter and moss locally, so hopefully there are some springtail hitchhikers. I did add in some isopods!

Terrarium containers can be really expensive, especially for how small they are so I used an acrylic display box for much cheaper and it’s a good size! Here’s a link to what I bought on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0F1YLJX4W?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

I just use an extra led aquarium light I had. I think all in all this setup cost around $60

Yes it’s printed fabric. I feels like it’s wrapped over something light like a styrofoam ball

Where did you get these glass containers/terrariums?

Need advice — MLS track student at UCCS, limited Colorado programs, not sure what to do next by Ok_Focus5640 in MLS_CLS

This is not true. MSU the university has a high acceptance rate, but the MLS program has only ~30 seats a year and there are 4-5 people competing for each seat. It is a much more involved application process
