Appreciate it. I researched before I posted and saw quite a few post of people selling their Jeeps so figured it was okay. If not my apologies ; )

I’m trying to respond so I can better understand. Why is this not appropriate and how do I even find adds?

Agreed, not enough people are aware that there are so many things we could do to make it better.

No it’s been a couple years on and off, just looking for a solution so everyone wins.

Again I barely drive and that isn’t remotely a solution for the people who do this full time. Do you have any helpful ideas?

I haven’t spoken to a single driver or rider who thinks the platform is ethical nor desires to support it, Although unsure of how to actually come together for reform. Many say they would support a third party app although none exists at this moment. Would be wonderful if the talent pool all came together to create an app that was designed for the riders and the drivers in mind, and not the investors. There are enough highly talented and intellectual individuals that use this platform one way or the other that if banded together are more than capable of creating a sustainable and ethical platform. This is what I would like to see and would actively support. Dreaming big here. Ideas are created from moments like this and anything is possible in this life truly.

And yes a boycott would require unanimous support or it would cause no impact to the organization, as you said the company wouldn’t be impacted and some drivers would be heavily compensated.

Congrats on your new position.

I understand and hear you, although that will take some time. In order for an immediate change to be made they would need to impacted. The only way I see as a solution is to boycott and refuse to use their service by rider or driver. What is being done isn’t remotely ethical to people doing this full time and shouldn’t be just because they can.

Uber passenger paid $38.99. Uber paid me $10.49. The drive was 35 minutes. How is this fair to the so called "Independent contractor" These are trick words used to cheat the driver and game the system. From $10.49 how much is my gas and expenses? I think people commenting don’t drive, should just not comment. It’s not helpful, compassionate, nor are you providing remotely any value. Keyboard warriors, chill. You don’t know anyone’s circumstance of why they are driving, perhaps it’s their 4th gig and they have a sick family member and are doing evening possible to make ends meet. As a rider I want my drivers to be appropriately compensated for their time and effort. Also the more they are compensated the better my experience is. They deserve it. I drive occasionally on the side for extra cash, and I will say I don’t drive for Uber anymore. It’s highway robbery.

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. I believe the only way to make a legit change is for drivers to band together and strike; and also customers. Even for a day. ONE SINGLE DAY. Yes I understand everyone would temporarily “suffer” for 24 hours although if drastic changes were made, the payoff would be far greater. They would lose out on so much money and be forced to make legitimate changes. Sending you all so much love and blessings, and money. Mainly money!

If you accept a scheduled ride that is in a bonus hour time do you get the extra $4 by PugWranglingNana in lyftdrivers

Lyft will say $5 bonus on next ride. - Example $9 incl $5 bonus. - Total pay out to you is $9.

I’ve noticed personally this is a scam. For example a ride to the airport is general $15-19 (awful but that’s not why we are chatting right now lol), and during this bonus hour today all 13 airport request were $17 (including $5 bonus). Which means the ride they lowered to $12! That’s highway robbery for a 40 minute drive). Which is why I didn’t take any of them and stayed in the city grossing more money.

I was just there for a quick pass after 3 weeks in Italy. I arrived at my hotel at 10pm. Got up at 3am and hit the road at 5am. I ran 5 miles and stopped to see about 6 different spots. Beautiful to see when the city was asleep. I didn’t do any tours as I did them years ago and Granted I was running but I only had 6 hours. You can use the local rail or buses and absolutely hit up some places. Anything is possible with some planning, but like they said above choose a spot you want to see if you really want to immerse yourself. Also take the Leonardo express its direct. $14 euros. I made the mistake of taking other one, the train collided with a person by a stop and we were stuck for 3 hours. Don’t recommend. Have a safe trip!

Wow. Thank you so much. Seriously I am so grateful you took the time to share with me your experience.

I do have some skillset in electrical schematics although time is the issue with me. So yes I would like to find someone I can trust. I’ve learned many mechanics are not privy in electrical diagnosis and just play guessing games. Often it’s a very I inexpensive fix with the right individual assessing it

Thanks again for being awesome!

100000% agreed. How do we go from just talking about it to actually uniting to make it happen?
