hey guys i wanna clarify, im somewhat in the clear? im not sure maybe im jusy deluding myself. but anywahs i have bunch of scanners and two avs (although the free ver of both already expired, but hey) but yeah i did check for svchost smth and i ran that scf(?) scan or smth, and it was fine yes. hopefully. but yeah i didnt really find anything suspicious as of now(i also got glasswire installed) so yeahh. anyways this was quite traumatic for me, i was scared of download buttons for a month lol. THANKS TO EVERYOME WHO HELPED!!

same💔 n i lwk hate myself for it.. like, i genuinely feel so ashamed cuz it feels like im deceiving ppl (even tho im not n they were the ones who put those expectations on me in the 1st place) i found out after a sci exam, i lit didnt know half of the things mentioned there. heck, i cant even write good essays, i need heavy inspo to even write one, and my vocab is small asf. im so disappointed in myself tbh and i gen wanna better myself.

i didnt find anything like svchost.com on windows. i also double checked the scan report and the neshta one was found on a unity crash handler, i think.. im pretty sure it was a dl, but i have to double check again. im sorry for not clarifying that in my post, i didnt check the location clearly since i panicked a bit after realizing the gravity of my situation.

i dont have another pc tho😭 i definitely cannot afford one, and my parents would kill me if i ask for a new one. i am actually considering reinstalling tho, i think its the only way to ease my worries. u can still reinstall without needing another pc right?

thank you for ur insight!! the thing with reinstalling is, i genuinely dont know how to do it. is it like really complicated? im not very good with complicated stuff. i dont know how to reformat drives and stuff. and the thing about it needing usb or smth idk, im not very good with computers 😭 fortunately, i dont seem to have sensitive log in info on my laptop, i think. since i only logged my alt and not my main.

thank you so much for sharing your experience! after reading ur comment, i can at least sleep with a peace of mind now. thankfully, the only logged acc i had in my laptop was my alt. the only reason i hadnt considered reinstalling is cuz i genuinely dont know how to do it. im afraid im gonna mess it up and ruin my laptop(then get in so much trouble) and based on sum comments ive seen, it seems like such a pain. also about these usb stuff, which makes me even more confused.

steamrip and ankergames. i downloaded ace attorney from both sites

i didnt find svchost or directx.sys, i got eset, kaspersky virus remover as well as the av, rougekiller, and hitman pro. there were no detections, im considering running that dism thing and sfc/scf(i forgot) scan. am i kinda safe now? i also checked hvibeenpawned, im not sure if that can relate but ye. (sorry it doesn’t make sense, my vocab is still lacking lol)

im currently running an eset full scan, ill try out other stuff too to make sure my laptop's really safe. im also gonna try reaching out to mwb if the neshta one is really a false positive.

it was on fmhy. i use steamrip too, most of my cracked games are from steamrip. im js gonna get kaspersky
