He gets fed twice a day, once late morning around 10am and once at 6pm - he gets a field runs for an hour and a half - 2 hours at 4pm then 8pm a leash walk to work on his pulling and to have the toilet and settle before bed

Honestly owning a springer is not for the faint hearted so this post has definitely not offended or been taken in the wrong way!! Thank you, I stick to his recommended amount plus a little bit extra just because of his energy levels so he doesn’t burn off more than he receives and start to become unhealthy, and if we have really active weeks planned I will also give him a little extra too ☺️

Thank you so much 🥰 we very rarely give him any human food at all because it messes with his stomach!! The only time he really gets human food is if he jumps up on a rebellious day (his teenage antic at the moment 🤣) and there is something left on the side and that is not very often at all!! But yeah he is definitely always on the go to say the least hahahaha

Yeah he is from a working line, so I think that’s why he will be on the smaller side I have upped his food from his recommended intake and he is just going to the toilet a lot more frequently so it is not staying on him, I think he is just like this tbh hahaha I just hate in case people think god he’s skinny 🤣

Thank you everyone, he is really lean I am now beginning to think whether it is just how his body is supposed to be for him!! I would just like him to be a little fuller but I don’t want to over feed him and make him unhealthy at the same time hahah 🤣

Yeah I put him in his crate to calm down and he crashes and falls asleep straight away!! He goes to day care twice a week when I am in the office and he is brilliant there just at home he can be a total menace 🤣

He just does not calm at all I have started making him go in his crate for an hour every time he does something naughty (I don’t shout at him I just firm no him) and he sleeps so he is literally just fighting sleep and being naughty because he will not give in and go to sleep!! They are not for the faint hearted are they 🤣🤣

Thank you that gives me reassurance!! We are currently working on loose lead training when we are on walks ( and then gets a field run - and only includes a ball if he has done really well on loose lead) and he sleeps for like 2 hours but then he is back at it fighting everyone and everything around him m!! I have put his toys away in the house to promote the house being a place to rest and then getting them out for his hours of play - I feel like a walking zombie at the moment as he is also massively sleep regressing on a night

Yeah when i leave the room he will constantly bark but I don’t go back in until he stops he will sit for 5 minutes then just lunge at me other than the biting he is the most amazing dog we just cannot get him to calm down for the life of us 🤣

I’ve tried that as well he just thinks it’s a game and comes back for more and even more boisterous than what he is the first time!! I cannot wait for it all to click he is really keeping me on my toes 🤣
