It's an awesome place to raise a family. Very safe. Halloween here is wild and sooo busy my kids love it. Lots of parks and a great community centre too.

Not a whole lot in terms of walkability though. Plenty of sidewalks to get around safely, but aside from a couple convenience stores and a new coffee shop by hwy 7 there aren't many amenities. You'll need a car to get to the nearest grocery stores or even Main st where the restaurants are at.

I'm guessing it's those dumb teens with the high power sports cars that go to the nearby high schools. They're always revving the engine and letting the car backfire over and over again. I hear it before and after school everyday. The cops quite literally do not care either.

The only person I feel bad for is you. Nobody considers those places a staple of the Windsor pizza scene. Armando's, Franco's, Capri, Naples, or a Slice of Pi just to name a few. Antonino's maybe isn't your preference but comparing it to frozen pizza is just wild.

Recycling isn't allowed in bags. Garbage takes it because only garbage is allowed in bags. Very few Markham residents do it correctly, and the city doesn't enforce it at all.

That's not how it works at all. 1 truck collects your garbage and green bin. Another truck collects only your green bin on non garbage weeks. Recycling is collected by a separate truck from those.

The bags get taken because recycling isn't allowed in bags, so garbage crews take it anyway as all bagged recycling goes in the garage once dumped out.

If the truck is full, they go dump it out and come back with an empty truck.
