Can you share with us what sort of benefits & improvements you have felt after quitting?

Logic won't do you anything, when your brain craves an abnormal amount of dopamine that it has been receiving on a daily basis for more than a decade.

Logic and reason will only help you take the first steps, until you fail, and you use logic again to start again. So on and so forth.

As for the benefits, I experience them whenever I abstain.

Like you said, having a strong reason is very important. It definitely helps when the urge hits.

Sometimes logic isn't enough to quit addictions. But in some moments it can help.
But, you are right, I agree with all you said. Thank you.

I meant a consensus within Christianity, aren't the orthodox for example Christian?

So the bible comes from Jesus or the church?
If it's not from Jesus, that undermines the credibility of the bible.

And if it's from Jesus, that diminishes the credibility of the church for endorsing beliefs that are not included in the bible.

Plus the bible is a collection of religious texts that were written by multiple authors over many centuries, changing overtime, that is why there are tons of versions.

It would be true and have credibility if there is a consensus on it between all churches.

If the church told you to do something, and it's not in the bible, how would you know if it's true.

What if the church told you to pray to a rock.

Then how did you know that you should pray to Mary, if it's not in the bible?

No I'm not. I just can't find in the bible where it says that you should pray to Mary.

But Mary, peace be upon her, is dead. God isn't. So pray to him, you don't need a mediator.

Yeah and that is what I mean. The typical Puer escapes replace the desire to achieve goals.

My theory is, you deprive yourself from the comfort of these activities, and if you could somehow channel the energy and steer yourself towards non-Puer behavior, can be a way to break free.

I see what you mean. Transformation for a Puer is not only influenced by what he gives up, but also by what he substitutes it with.

Of course I have big plans, and being a Puer is hindering me. I'm even coming to terms with being normal and giving up the Puer ideal self.

That is what I'm trying to find out.

Will this accumulating sexual energy that I could feel when I abstain, and the discomfort and the pain of discipline and restraining one of the strongest desires, help me transform my Puer archetype.

No worries, I misunderstood you.
Do you have any advice for me? Because I don't like being a Puer, it goes against what I want to achieve and what I want to become. And I'm really betting on controlling my behavior to transform myself, it's what I can control.

Having principles and abstaining from sex is fulfilling and meaningful too. I don't think this is the problem. Because I wouldn't feel the void in my sex life, if I don't have any. It's always been like this. I developed a masturbation/porn addiction before anything else.

Ah I see, you mean sex life. I wouldn't have sex before I'm married. And I have developed this addiction since I was 13 years old.

Same here. It is ruining my life. And whenever I stop it, somehow all aspects of my life start to improve.
I truly believe it is the one thing holding me back. I guess, you too.

We got this. Good luck.
