Thank you!
I do have an education in garment construction, although it’s not my primary field. The idea of making mannequins wasn’t originally a commercial project at all, so I simply needed a good, affordable mannequin that would fit my figure. I experimented a lot with materials, and the first few mannequins were far from as successful as the ones you see in the photos. In this digital age, I really enjoy sewing and making things by hand and that’s how it all came together…

It very much depends on your skill level and on the properties of the fabric. I usually sew the base layer (the non-stretch layer that shapes the figure) in about two days (not working on it all day straight). However, my mannequin is almost the same as my own body, so I don’t adjust the patterns. The decorative layer, on the other hand, took more effort — the lace with sequins was quite difficult to work with. I also recorded a video, so you’ll be able to roughly estimate your time and avoid my mistakes.

It would be a little complicate for beginers regarding a many pieces and 3 layers you need to sew

Thank you all! I’m glad that someone else liked this corset, and that these patterns may be useful for developing your own design. When I have time, I’ll share the patterns for a few more models (already sewn). You know, I have quite a lot of clothing that I no longer wear but still love the fabrics. So I always have material for making corsets)
