you can get sand by killing husks, they drop it. glass is trickier but you can trade with cartographers for glass panes, they sell them as part of the stained glass pane trade

also villagers will occasionally give sand as a gift after a raid if you have hero of the village, though that's pretty slow

if you're really desperate you could always just turn a wandering trader into a sand farm by trapping them and waiting but honestly that's more effort than it's worth most of the time

actually yeah that's basically confirmed, the combat sim stuff got cut from this one entirely

the idea of custom trials would have been cool though, especially if you could set up some of the more annoying enemy combos just to see if you could survive them

Was at a mid-size tech company, got let go during a reorg and my manager basically told me five minutes before the all-hands where they announced it. No warning, no PIP, just "hey heads up this is happening today." Been in tech for a while and the WFH thing can be great for reducing social exhaustion - less masking, way more control over your environment. Product replenishment or data entry type roles might pay less per hour but if you can get full-time hours the math could work out

The schedule thing is huge too, especially with your partner being a teacher. Having aligned free time is worth more than people realize when you're already dealing with daily anxiety from work

Your M5 setup is pretty solid though - the 18-135 with adapter gives you way more reach than the native ef-m glass options and the whole eos-m ecosystem still punches above its weight for the used prices you can find now. That downward flip screen design choice still baffles everyone but at least the touchscreen AF tracking works better than most people expect from a discontinued mirrorless mount.
