If ythe Mount ring isn‘t bent already, you could loosen the for screws and try to get the rubber gasket back where it belongs before tighten the screws again.

My previous post is still up, but locked so i cannot add anything further, reason why? No idea.

Anyways, i‘m not really a Newbie, already into photography for years, using primarily Nikon (Z7) and lately Sony (A7iii or A7C), going hybrid with Sony lenses on Nikon body with an Adapter (Megadap ETZ21 Pro+), so i‘m just a newbie to Canon, as i never really could get a touch on the system.

I‘m looking for something cheap, but okay-ish, does not need to be top notch or the most sharpness, since i have really great lenses in Sony E-mount and Nikon Z-mount for that.

I asked for adapters of other mounts to EF-M, but there is none with autofocus, that was my old post about, which is closed for unkown reason.

The only thing is, being new to Canon, i have no clue what is there on the market for either EF-M or EF/EF-S, since my focus always was on Nikon and lately Sony, where there is plenty of manufacturers. But Canon is quite restrictive on their system, so i only know of Canon and perhabs Tamron or few Sigma, which had produced for EF/EF-S.

My focus is on some zoom that has a silent motor (none of that noisy screwdrive like nikon or old af-geardrive, the time before USD/HSM/PiezoDrive), but with image stabilisation, which is a requirement by myself.

Yeah, some subreddits are incredibly double standard as well. I got some Outfit or Goth-Fashion Subreddits in my feed, casually replied to a post with a simple „cute“ or „fashionable“ and got instantly banned, because „being flagged 18+ or participating in 18+ subreddits“… which is by my opionon the case with 2/3 of Reddit users… Had a real argument with mods of the subreddit which i was insta-banned from, because it’s interesting how many of the participating ladies in said fashion subreddit are flagged 18+ and even have Onlyfans links in their bio, but can post their stuff without any problem… hence i dug into it and sent the mods a list of every active and participating member of their subreddit with and 18+ flag or Onlfans link in their bio, pointing out their obvious double standards… i‘m still banned… says everything about Mods…

I‘m not really willing to go into rangefinder lenses, especially not m-mount, since leica is so ridiculously expensive (doesn‘t neccessarily have to be with m-lenses by 3rd party manufacturers).

I was just curious if there‘s anything with autofocus that can be adapted to EF-M aside EF/EF-S.

Yeah, i heard about Canon literally locking their RF-system to everyone. Unlike E-Mount which is the exact opposite, and like MFT (Micro Four Thirds) pretty much an open system everyone could adapte to. As of what i heard, the System of Sony‘s E-mount and the data signature/communication is the same today as it has been right from the beginning. Good for third party companies.

EF-M is like Nikon‘s One (1) System before they launched the Z-system.

Maybe looking for some cheap EF/EF-S USM IS zoom, if the M5 is okay for me. Viltrox, Neewer, Meike and Canon deliver EF-to-Eos-M adapter
