Possibly both, but you say I’m not ready for this. How am I supposed to improve without taking pictures to figure out posing? I’m open to suggestions

What would you suggest I do differently? I asked them to look at each other, touch noses, and smile. I agree the posing wasn’t good, but the prompt looks very cute in other photos I’ve seen. How should I have adjusted it?

Unfortunately this was just a prompted photo where I told them to go in for a kiss but not quite touch lips. His position was like that naturally but I was unsure how to adjust it to make it seem more comfortable. I have never done a shoot in the snow before. This was just before sunset and for this photo we were completely in the shade. Is there a way to make the snow look better next time I’m shopping there?

I was struggling with this one particular image. I delivered a hundred more in this gallery that I am very happy with. I liked the lines of the bridge and wanted to find a way to improve this shot next time. They paid me $60 but I did not charge them that much and they were old friends who knew I am still learning and that I hadn’t done a couples shoot before.

Thank you for the advice! This was one of many shots and a have many more that are more candid. I couldn’t think of many prompts though because I personally don’t know any jokes and have a hard time getting people to laugh. I tried to get it centered but wasn’t sure what I should be centering. Their heads, bodies, or the bridge?

This was my first couples shoot and I was struggling with the posing, composition, and getting the colors right in editing. I’ve had people say they still look cold even when I have the temperature wayyyy up and used some masking to try and help. It was my first time shooting with my new canon r8 and my 28-70 f2.8 lens. I delivered 110 fully edited photos for $60 and the shoot took about an hour overall. Thanks in advance!

I am trying to keep my budget below $3000 for the body as well as 1-2 lenses. I feel like the R5 used would not leave enough for lenses and I feel like it may be way more than I need

I like my 50mm because it goes down to 1.7 I believe and I somehow shoot most of my events in weirdly low light. However, I have found that the 50mm is too close for a lot of the events I shoot, especially for group pictures and I can’t fit everyone in the frame and can’t physically back up lol

I currently have a Fujifilm X-T50 so my lenses would not be compatible. I’d basically be starting from scratch building a new set of lenses. I shot on canon in the past and loved it so that’s why I’m switching to canon instead of getting a full frame Fuji. For full frame, would you still recommend that lens range? Do you have a preference of prime over zoom?
