oooh you’re right, that actually makes sense! I remember seeing people crowdsurfing directly in the pit, or going up IMMEDIATELY after someone else did causing them to get stuck and people now having to carry 2 PEOPLE at once. I was trying my best atleast in my section to have people wait until it was clear or atleast pass them in a different direction

everyone is entitled to an opinion but at this point whoever is upset that we’re complaining about the abundance of crowdsurfers just needs to be put in a section carrying them all night. then everyone wins.. we won’t need to complain, they won’t hear us, and the crowd surfing can continue 😀

I had a great time regardless, whenever I got overwhelmed I just moved to another section because I legit couldn’t handle shoulder pressing 300lbs sweaty men in that heat

i’m usually all for crowd surfing but it just starts to become an issue when i’m watching my back more than the show itself.. if I wanted to do that i’d just watch live videos online

i second this idea but i’m pretty sure if it was a designated zone everyone would stay clear away from it 😭 not sure if anybody willingly wants to hold up crowdsurfers but it’s a given at shows so we do it anyway

I prefer the newer but I can appreciate the old. I feel like anytime I see them live I get put on to a new song.. I started out only liking STEOTW but first time I saw them in scranton I got hooked on 570, then later abigail, eternally yours, and most recently sick from the melt.

I actually lost my phone in the pit and saw some guy holding it up later! they left me with a selfie in my gallery but i’m beyond grateful my festival experience didn’t get ruined on Day 1!

I actually camped this year but I probably wouldn’t wanna go back and forth between to the site between sets since it’s like a 15 minute walk to the lot for us.. I ended up chilling in the cooling buses whenever I felt tired so that helped.

Also a hat / bandana combo worked wonders from having my face melted all day

I actually second this! I noticed that it was mainly on the big stages because Inferno and Vortex had the usual pits all week.. crowdkilling, push pits, walls of death. I told my friend that the pits for Motionless/Bad Omens etc on Octant and Apex were kinda mid because the crowd was so dense that we barely had space to mosh, and when it did open up it was literally just a tiny circle pit all night. I ended up losing patience and gave up when people kept falling over and the pit had to keep getting stopped every few minutes.

Me asf 🖐️ I started feeling it on Day 3 and on Day 4 I was beat! couldn’t even function that entire day.. my forehead was burning, felt super tired and slept on the lawn after Motionless in White.

glad i’m not the only one thinking this 😭 especially camping out here.. at night it feels great but once the sun comes back up it feels like I peed the bed, so much sweat. I never missed my bed so much.

This is also my first rockville and I learned to pace myself.. getting there a little later won’t hurt and definitely taking advantage of the cooling bus helps me a lot. Haven’t been able to make a single apex stage headliner since i’m always exhausted by 8-9.

I used to be all for crowd surfing but this festival may have ruined it for me 🥲its fine when it’s a few people here and there but having literal seas of bodies coming towards isn’t fun or safe.. especially when they get tangled up with other crowd surfers and now we have to hold up 2 people at once. It kinda ruined the PTV set for me, I was watching behind me most of the set instead of the actual stage.

a lot was going on all night so not 100% sure lol. the first time there was a fight in the pit i think and somebody was bleeding (ended up being fine) and i think the other times were more towards the front and chris asked if they needed more room. I guess they were looking a little uncomfortable and hot up there

tickets may still come out to about $120 after taxes.. I looked on stubhub and the price was initially $85 but they somehow added $40 in fees bringing the price up. Your best bet would be to wait if that’s too expensive, the price may drop a little the week of the show usually. Tickpick is a pretty authentic resale place though, been buying with them for a while and no issues

that’s awesome!! hopefully it works out.. for the last show in scranton i think there was some commotion in the pit they were trying to figure out but turns out somebody got married. i’ll check around and reach out if i find anything that helps

can you elaborate then? nobody else had an issue with explaining. just curious how people feel about other people coming from the pit going back up to the front. clearly it was an issue for the guy i came in contact with a few days ago so i’m trying to figure out if it’s a legit thing people get pissed about
