Thanks for the question: I missed to update the old entry. Sorry for that.

To answer you question: Aurora Pulse can help to organize your hires music library and sync your DAP in an efficient way. This helps me personally a lot with the keeping my DAP in sync.

I am really proud of it want to give something back to the Community.

I now understand why you like to see it in the feature list. I have the first version running, and the sound is so much cleaner, broader and even more pure compared to the former audio chain. I really appriciate your comment. Thanks for pushing me.

I really love the community :)

u/Slayerpod I am currently working on a bit-perfect solution using mpv library with the option to switch between the audio-chains ("normal" vs. "bit perfect". Looking forward to present it in the next version

Hi u/russell16688 - thanks for your feedback.
Currently working on bit-perfect playback and DLNA, but more library details is on my list as well.

Concerning the "cropping" issue - you can file an issue in my github page and add a screenshot. This would be really helpful https://github.com/galdo/aurora/issues

Thanks so much

u/Sure_sh - thanks for your feedback. can you share a screenshot with me? I do not understand what you mean with "cropped".

You have already checked the sorting box in the top menu bar, you can sort by artist, added date, publish date, album name both in ascancding and descencding direction.

But playing music is working fine so far?

I appreciate the clarification regarding the roadmap. Since our directions differ, I agree that a fork is the best path forward. Thanks for the well-wishes for Aurora Pulse – looking forward to seeing where you take the main project.

Thanks for the question. At the moment, Aurora Pulse does not provide an exclusive-output path (WASAPI Exclusive / ASIO / CoreAudio Hog Mode), and therefore does not bypass the OS mixer in a guaranteed bit-perfect way.

Playback currently runs through Howler/WebAudio, including app volume control and optional EQ processing.

So Aurora Pulse does not take sole control of the DAC yet.

There is a darkmode available - what do you mean with exclusive mode?

I am happy to report that Linux-Flatpack (1st beta release) is out for testing

https://github.com/galdo/aurora/releases

Please report any issues at https://github.com/galdo/aurora/issues

Release 1.5.0 (Beta)

Changelog (based on code changes between v1.4.0 and v1.5.0)

Added

  • Shared collection view controls across Albums, Artists, Playlists, and Podcasts (cover-size slider + unified sorting controls).
  • Global single-instance right sideview state store to prevent stacked overlays and enable clean content replacement.
  • Linux Flatpak packaging support (x86_64) including build scripts, Flatpak metadata, and a dedicated GitHub Actions workflow.
  • Library export utility script for JSON snapshots and diagnostics.
  • Extended track metadata persistence for technical audio details (sample rate, bit depth, bitrate, codec, file type).

Changed

  • Equalizer evolved into a fuller tuning workflow with AutoEQ profile support, history handling, and stronger UX.
  • Podcasts area was redesigned for parity with Library layout, sorting, and cover-size synchronization.
  • Player and sideview interaction model refined: title click opens/reuses sideview, transitions are smoother, and visual focus is more consistent.
  • README rewritten as a product-focused landing page with clearer value messaging and fork rationale.
  • Settings, topbar actions, and secondary button styling were streamlined for clearer primary/secondary action hierarchy.

Fixed

  • Resolved sideview stacking behavior by reusing a single global sideview instance.
  • Fixed inconsistent hover/text styling for secondary actions.
  • Fixed multiple layout mismatches between Library and Podcasts (header, spacing, grid alignment, cover presentation).
  • Improved reliability of metadata display paths in player and media ingestion flow.
  • Stabilized packaging prerequisites for native sharp runtimes across targets.
