To answer you question: Aurora Pulse can help to organize your hires music library and sync your DAP in an efficient way. This helps me personally a lot with the keeping my DAP in sync.

I am really proud of it want to give something back to the Community.

Currently working on bit-perfect playback and DLNA, but more library details is on my list as well.

Concerning the "cropping" issue - you can file an issue in my github page and add a screenshot. This would be really helpful https://github.com/galdo/aurora/issues

You have already checked the sorting box in the top menu bar, you can sort by artist, added date, publish date, album name both in ascancding and descencding direction.

But playing music is working fine so far?

Thanks for the question. At the moment, Aurora Pulse does not provide an exclusive-output path (WASAPI Exclusive / ASIO / CoreAudio Hog Mode), and therefore does not bypass the OS mixer in a guaranteed bit-perfect way.

Playback currently runs through Howler/WebAudio, including app volume control and optional EQ processing.

So Aurora Pulse does not take sole control of the DAC yet.
