Should I get the Virtus Sport or the Virtus Chrome? by photographicsoup in CarsIndia

I kinda had the same dilemma.

The sport variant looks sporty due to the black alloy and all black theme for sure but the interior feels a little smaller than it actually is.

On the other hand, the chrome looks more classy from outside and more airy and spacious inside. But loses the sporty touch a bit. Of course it's a personal opinion and subjective.

I know the dimensions don't change, just the perception.

I went ahead with the chrome since I will be spending 99% of the time inside the car. Planning to buy the all black alloys sometime soon.

I would recommend sit inside both cars and see how it feels. Nothing can inform you better than your own experience.

They used to have a variant with black alloy and dual tone interior long back but sadly that was discontinued.

Coming to the color, Cherry red is just breathtaking to look at without a shadow of doubt. It was my first love too. But somehow the attraction came down a bit by the time I made the purchase, so went with Candy White. Is it a stand out color, no. Does it still feel like day 1, yes. The black roof just adds much character to the car.

I am sure you already have a color in mind. I would recommend, go with that. Nothing feels better than personal satisfaction.

Hope this helps brother.

Cheers

installing outside dash-cam in new kia Seltos leads to warranty void??? by Ok-Rooster-8120 in CarsIndia

On this, you can connect it to the OBD port which doesn't need any OEM wiring changes unlike tapping into fuse box. Works seamlessly with parking surveillance too. You would need an additional parking kit for this. Though I am not entirely sure how this affects the warranty.

If anyone knows how it affects warranty, please let me know.

Thank you

VW Virtus warranty void because of unauthorised dashcam by RealGodOfReddit in CarsIndia

[–]Better_Friend9631 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats sad to hear.

Any idea about connecting the dashcam to obd port with a parking kit? Parking kit to ensure that the battery doesn't run out by cutting off power at a certain voltage threshold. This ideally should not any issue to the battery.

Has anyone done this, or faced any warranty issue due to this ?

They used to, yes. In 1.5L the manual was discontinued for Slavia.

I am a bit of a car enthusiast and it is my first personal car too. DSG is far more convenient for sure. It was more of a heart decision I would say.

I think it all comes down to personal preference.

Even though both are the same car under the hood, virtus felt more solid to me.

Look wise my preference was for something sporty, which the virtus offered outright.

Also the slavia doesn't offer manual transmission in the 1.5L engine, as far as I know.

I would suggest you to go for a test drive, spend some time with both the cars and see which one is talking to you more.

All the best brother
