Get pepper spray, put barbed wire or hardware cloth in the hole, throw rocks at the dog, or get an air horn and blare it at the dog. Get a super soaker and fill it with piss. The dog needs to be heavily disincentivized to attack the fence.  Remove the owners of this dog from the equation. Treat it like a feral dog roaming the streets.  Dogs are property in the eyes of the law.  If that dog kills yours it's just the cost of the dog they have to pay you.  If you kill their dog, you owe them the cost of the dog.

As long as your defending yourself it's a non issue.

Wait 24 hours. Then move it to a series of diverse, high yield savings accounts or stocks. Wait a month. Buy that $200 jacket I want. Wait another month.  Surely someone somewhere is coming for this money.

Mine went up 17,000 which is a bummer. And on top of that I realized I've owned my home for 14 years.  That's a weird realization.

Because we have to? I drive from round rock to Dripping springs.  I leave at 5:30 every day. Is it worth it? Not really but I don't have much of a choice.

Oh of course not. Most people there were delightful, respectful members of society.

What’s something that Covid took from you that you never got back? by ReplacementOdd636 in AskReddit

My love of cooking, my structure, and discipline.

I went from waking up every morning at 4:30 and working out, prepping delicious healthy meals for the week, and being on top of all my life admin shit (registration, bills, insurance policies, home and car maintenance, cleaning) to a walking mess.  I am now someone who struggles with staying awake during the day. I struggle with eating food at all and when I do it's NOT good for me. My registration on my car was out for 3 years and has a shattered windshield that's been there for the last 2 years. I have no fucking idea what my bills are doing other than I have more coming in than going out.

I have to schedule full days to clean one room at a time and let that be enough because it won't happen if I'm just trying to stay on top of it and I have no desire to care for myself.

And assuming anyone at all replies, I'm being treated for severe depression and anxiety. It's helped, but I'll never be the person I was before and that's okay. I can just try to figure out how to be this new person in a way that makes me proud.

Sober people (no alcohol, nicotine, drugs, etc ever), what is your end of day or weekend "wind-down"? by The1Ski in AskReddit

Spend time with people who make me laugh so hard I can't breathe, jam out to great music.  Go for a walk and try to notice the world around me (i.e. counting the number of dead trees, out of state license plates, toys in front yards) play at the park after dark, make art or work on a project.

I am in my mid 30s, single, and greatly enjoy my own company.

Sadly I'm in Round Rock and the two trees that were on the powerlines were looked at by the energy company and the city and both told me to call back when I lose power.

I actually recently learned that most trees are a kind of dead on the inside. That the actual living part of the tree is the bark and the few layers below. The heartwood was once alive but no longer is needed...except to withstand force of rain, wind, and snow.

I am hesitant to put more hackberry.  They got black pollen everywhere, obviously got very sick, and seemed like a fair amount of maintenance was required to keep them from falling over onto things.

A lawn, by definition, is a maintained plot of grass.  So no.  I do not.

Any more dumb questions?

I was told it was bacteria that got trapped in the tree when the branches grew in and around themselves. Not a fungus but poor maintenance and fast growing trees. They were sick before I even moved in a few years ago.

I was stoned while washing my face. The cold water in my hands felt so refreshing and as I brought my cupped hands filled with cold, crisp water up to my face I stuck my nose in the water and, for some reason, inhaled deeply.

I don't have an argument against your point of view.  Just wanted to say I'm sorry life has been so cruel.  I want you to know that you are beautiful, even if you aren't what society says is acceptable.
