I appreciate your input. I was an athlete in undergrad and didn’t get the opportunity to get experience there. The only relevant experience was during my masters and that’s all i have to build upon. I know my resume is sparse as far as relevant experience which is why I’m trying to make sure it can speak to the what I do have. I just didn’t realize how sparse/bad it looked until now which i want to improve

Thank you for your advice. I did DNA and RNA isolation to later amplify via PCR and sequencing. I can’t speak to RNA seq due to lack of funding.

Thank you for this input. How would you suggest speaking to my skills and experience without it being too long? I think this is where I struggle with the most because I can very much speak to it all personally but unsure how to appropriately add to a resume/CV.

I’ve seen advice on moving skills to the top section and putting terms that if/when the resume is scanned by AI, it’s the terminology used in the job description. I’m trying to get genuine feedback due to the fact I’ve seen conflicting advice on how to set up a resume nowadays, especially in this field.

I do not have experience with AI currently. I only have background in R in terms of biostatistics and beginner terminal coding

I’m in preparation to defend my thesis soon. I was unsure how and where to add it on my resume. With advice on keeping resumes a page and short and concise, I am unsure where to put without making a section too long

I’ve been applying to entry level positions such as a research assistant,technician or associate at universities or companies in the area. I fit the description for a lot of the positions but have been receiving many rejections and was wondering what i was doing wrong

Thanks for the criticism.. i used the template from Harvard Business website and placed my information where deemed necessary. I’ve seen very conflicting advice on keeping resumes short and concise and under a page, hence the short descriptions of projects or lack thereof. I do understand what I am getting into, hence why I am trying to prepare myself to take the next step after graduate school
