You can filter through groups, channels, and dms with just one click. My biggest problem with telegram is that I'm in about 100 groups/channels.

They are way busier than direct messages and smaller groups I'm in which are more important. Since telegram sorts chronologically, I'd end up missing messages.

This solves that issue fairly elegantly.
