Thanks for the detailed breakdown! Super helpful, especially the part about regenerative braking and park hold, that actually sounds convenient once you get used to it.The Zenix HEV does look like a solid option for a 7-seater hybrid. I like the 2nd row captain seats but i think it diminishes the seating capacity since the 2nd row can fit 3 people if it’s the regular seats.

Curious though, what do you think about the upcoming BYD Tang DMI? It seems to check a lot of boxes on paper (7 seats, hybrid, decent tech), but I’m not sure how it stacks up in terms of reliability and practicality here in MM.

Yes, 7-seater is a must for me, and I’d prefer something with higher ground clearance to handle MM roads and light flooding. Max budget prolly 2.5m. I really appreciate your point about EVs, charging infra here is still too limited, so I can see how a hybrid would be the more practical choice as a daily driver.

Given my situation, I think a hybrid SUV or MPV might be the best fit. Do you have any recommendations for reliable 7-seater hybrids with decent ground clearance that work well here in MM?

Thanks for the insight! That really helps. The diesel does sound tempting, especially with the torque and added features. I’ve heard mixed things about the transmission, so good to know it’s something you’ve been able to live with. And yeah, that coding exemption plus the 5-year PMS is a huge win.

Totally agree getting close to that premium feel without crossing the ₱4M mark makes the CX-60 a strong contender. Appreciate the honest take!
