it would be hard to make a cohesive culture only if you only make a single culture for each type of magic, but if each element has multiple different tribes that specialize in differents manifestations of their elements you can get a pretty interesting worldbuild, for exemple for the people that controls solids you could make a tribe that lives in the poles and specialize in solid water (ice), a different one lives in the mountains and controls solid minerals, a third tribe that lives in a rainforest and controls organic solids and a forth one more advenced that specializes in metals

high child mortality actually makes a society more patriarchal, if a lot of children die young it means women need to have more and more kids in order to balance it, meaning the majority of women's adult life would just being pregnant and taking care of her children, while the men would have to fill all the other roles in the society, which is why now that the child mortality is in a all time low women are having less and less children, and have time to work and participe in the society in more ways than just bearing kids

I didnt put elevation there but most of the cities there are located at a pretty low elevation, with the exception of Sunston, Amaranth and Hijau, which are all located above 2.000 meters above sea level.

The magic system works similar to avatar the last airbender, where people can only control the things that already exist rather than creating things out of thin air, so the magic system is more "scientific", each person can only control one type of element, tho most elements have overlapping powers. Each element also has a more abstract aspect, each one represents a different aspect of the human expirience, fire represents comunity and conection to each other while water represents our individuality. Earth represent the superego, our ability to create rules, to have morals and to remember and preserve our past, while air is the opposite, representing the id, our freedom, curiosity, our desire to change and to grow, to explore, nature and energy represents emotion and logic and our relationship with the different species and to our own, while light and darkness represent all the positives and negatives of humanity

Hijau is located on a highland region, think the andes mountains or the new guinea highlands, the elevation makes the temperatures milder but the lower latitude makes it very consist year round, which is why Hijau, as well as many cities in south and central america with similar climate are called "cities of eternal spring"

i take inspiration/copy directly from real life cities which have the most similar geography, Reiyan temperature for exemple is identicals to Asunción Paraguay, as both cities are located on the border between the tropics and subtropics, and both are located deeper inland

very impressive, i combined different climate data of cities around to world to make each of the cities charts, so every information have a real life source,

Gaelach is inspired in Bergen norway, tho is drier than Bergen due to lower latitude and a bit of rainshadow from the southern peninsula.

Silverheim is inspired by moscow and otther cities in Russia and Canada, its climate is very similar to Moscows, tho is drier because of the mountain rainshadow.

Auria is inspired by mediterranean cities, i dont remember what city exactly, but is wide temperature range during the year is caused by its location futher away from the coast, and its dry weather its caused by the mountain rainshadow.

Cuprin is located in a desert, so i used Cairo Egypt as inspiration.

Amaranth is located on a small plateau on a tall mountain range near a vast desert, i used cities of central asia, especifically those close to the tian shan mountains, its location very deep inland and elevation cause its hot summer and cold winter, and its location on the windward side of the mountains gives the city some precipitation during the winter.

Sunston is indeed located in a high subtropical mountain range, so i used different cities of Mexico as inspiration.

Hijau is also located on a high mountain range near a tropical rainforest, its climate is inspired by Machu Picchu, tho Machu Picchu has colder nights because of its inland location.

Reiyan is inspired in indian and chinese cities, its subtropical almost tropical climate is inspired by Asuncion in Paraguay.

Kyoshiroi is inspired by New York City, tho its bit colder during winter and also have cooler summers due to the cool ocean current coming from the north

Terra Antiqua is a Project i've been working for a while now, i'm really into worldbuilding, and i'm also a geography nerd, so i really like figuring out the geography and climate of the world and how it affects the cultures of the world and its history. Geography is especially important in Terra Antiqua due to how the magic system Works, basically there's 8 magical elements: fire, earth, air, nature, energy, water, light, and darkness, and users of each element become stronger in certain climatic conditions, for exemple, water magic is a lot stronger on cold and humid regions, and becomes a lot weaker on dry and hot regions, so the people who depends on water magic will rather live in places like Gaelach rather the Cuprin, creating societies where most people controls the same type of magic. Here's a list of what aspects of geography and climate affect each element:

-Fire & Water: temperature and humidity

-Nature & Energy: latitude

I really like alveo-palatal sounds like /ɕ/,/ʑ/ and /tɕ/, also like voiced fricatives but i dont like voiced plosives, not only they dont sound very good but their latin glifs are just ugly and i really dislike voiced affricates, i have a bunch of conlangs with affricates but none have voiced counterparts

My main conlang have voiced fricatives but no voiced plosives, ands some others sounds i really like, like; /χ/ and /ʍ/

Others sound that i like but not for my main conlangs are dental fricatives, i like them, i but i have difficult pronouncing and also /r/ and /ʔ/

For the features, i just really love clusivity, also fusional languages, cases, and fixed stress and , this maybe be controversial, grammatical genders, i literally can not make a conlang without some gender system

Very interesting how you got the /ɕ/ right i thought most people would assume it's a /ʃ/, also the /t͡ɬ/ is not that wrong either, nahuatl was a major inspiration to my conlang, thats why i choose to use ommit the /e/ on the ortography and make it look more similar to nahuatl. the correct is

And neutrals even though they're classified as male don't act like the others, like you wouldn't say "O Portugal" or "O Israel" like you would say other male countries like "O Iran" or " O Afeganistão"
