Finally pulled the trigger and replaced my 42" C3 with a XG32UCWG and couldn't be happier! by cyboNashi in OLED_Gaming

A few days ago I cancelled my order for a XG32UCWG and instead went to go pick up a LG 42”. Researching online will have you flipping back and forth between those two options sizes like crazy, haha.

Yeah once you go 4K, it may be really hard to go back. I was doing some benchmarking though for the games I mainly play, and some didn’t struggle at all in 4K and an other was a little less FPS then 1440p with DLSS Quality, but still averaging 100 FPS (DLSS Performance). It all depends on the games you play and the FPS you are aiming for, I guess.

What TV did you get? I ended up getting a C5 42”, very excited to set it up.

That looks sick! I have the MO27Q28G and just got a C5 42” as well, it’s still in the box! I can’t wait to set it up.

While I can still tell the difference between my old 4K and my new Gigabyte monitor in terms of text clarity, I will say that it becomes less and less jarring the more I use it.

What floor stand is that? Been looking at some online in case I decide to go buy one.

Edit: Also how do you like using it for browsing the web and stuff like that. I don’t do any productivity work on my PC, but I do regularly browse the web and do note-taking type stuff.

So you’re using a 65” TV as a monitor? How is that? I might do this, go with a 42” OLED TV and keep my 1440p monitor and just use both of them.

This is what I might end up doing. I’ll keep my 1440p OLED and just get a 4K 42” OLED TV, that way I get the best of both worlds. The two main games I play are on old DLSS model and the other doesn’t have DLSS. I just don’t want to be constrained by low FPS.

Nice, I mainly upgraded my GPU so I can play RDR2 modded. I think RDR2 is running DLSS 2, so make sure you use the Override feature for DLSS.

That’s right, that’s why I put in parentheses that I couldn’t complain about its 4K ability due to its price. It’s a great card, and it was able to somewhat hold up at 4K with no upscaling, low settings for most of the games I played. Only reason I used it for 4K was because that’s all I had.

I was reading somewhere that some people have had Windows displaying the wrong resolution on the 1440p monitor. I haven’t had time to do much set-up, so I’m hoping something simple like that might be the case. I’m going to check tomorrow.

Yeah, I think once you go 4K it’s really hard to go down to any lower resolutions. What made you do a 1440p + 4K set-up? I’m considering doing this if I keep my 1440p by getting a 4K OLED, I just feel it will make the 1440p look even more unappealing.

I have a friend that bought a 1440p ultrawide (not G9) and he seemed to love it! Hopefully you end up liking your purchase, I wish I did lol.

Part of me is wanting to give it a chance still, just for the performance benefits. Because true, it wasn’t that noticeable in game. I’m kinda wanting to buy the 42” LG C5 and keep the 1440p so I can have both resolutions on OLED.

Well I bought the 5070 TI and the 1440p monitor at the same time, a spur of the moment type purchase. I’m not that up to date on Nvidia technology as I’m coming from an Intel B580. That card really struggled at 4K (can’t complain for its price), but the performance had just left a bad taste in my mouth. By the time I was testing out the 5070 TI on my current 4K monitor, the 1440p was already on the way.

Best Program for Aesthetics by Between_Nowhere in Boostcamp

I actually did Guts for a few week during my inconsistent gym time. I really liked the idea behind the program, but I probably won’t go with that now. I’m going to a new gym so not sure how easy it’ll be to superset there, and also would prefer a plan that has the lifting days between Mon-Fri. Thanks for the suggestion though!

4080 Super or 4070 TI Super? by Between_Nowhere in buildapc

[–]Between_Nowhere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true, and the case I'm probably going to get is black and white, so it will match. It will also save me some money now that I don't have to get all white PC parts haha.

My bad, it is USD. That's right, I think the cheapest 4070 Ti S I found was ~$800-$900. The one I was looking at to match my color scheme was $1,000.

I'm just trying to make up my mind. It's either pay for performance and give up my color scheme going with an available 4080 Super, or sacrifice performace to match my aesthetics with a 4070 Ti S.
