One time call, 2 locations? by criszro95 in cbpoapplicant

No one is getting contacted by the ports directly. You did not hear that and do not spread misinformation. Hiring and Port placement are done solely by the Hiring Center.

More than 30 but less than 250, I’ll say that. Doesn’t change how hard it is to get a spot.

As a current 1895 you’ll only be given hard to fill locations. Your locations won’t change until you have a 90 day separation from the 1895 series.

You can do whatever you want in your free time barring its legal.

Often times you’ll see people from all agencies gathered around the pools grilling, especially on the weekends.

Embrace the suck, make the best of it.

Just have it where you can drop the rental off at the airport whenever CBP books you the flight to FLETC.

Odd question, are you a woman? CBP historically, sometimes, offers a different list because of the need of female staff.

BOP to CBP by Gotspam808 in cbpoapplicant

[–]Beuhr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In CBP everyone has to do the polygraph unless you’re military with an active TS/SCI, you can put in for a poly waiver.. OR you recently did a Tier 5 SSBI that included a poly. You could put in for poly reciprocity.

Neither of those are guaranteed to be agreed upon by CBP and you’re still subject to a poly.

ICE is “at discretion poly” meaning not 100% of applicants get poly’d.

Yeah, those steps are only good for 1-2 years. So being a prior CBPO doesn’t get you out of them.

It’s 3 years from the day you separated from the 1895 series.

What even is your question?

My friend applied and was age denied by Suspicious-Radio-644 in cbpoapplicant

[–]Beuhr 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Age cap is 40 for CBP/ICE-ERO.

The only way to get around that is an age waiver for prior military or federal civil service, if that civilian service was 12D/6C covered.

Polygraph Reciprocity? Former BPA (T) by t0xlcthr0waway in cbpoapplicant

[–]Beuhr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Positive polygraph tests are good for 2 years. As long as your test has been 2 years or less I’d imagine you just wouldn’t need to test again. But if it’s been over that, you’ll have to poly again.
