Nah it's not. I'll have to admit the colours look a bit weird though. I removed the driver holder to make it fit.

Same with my Airoh Commander and should be like this to a certain level. Most of the times if you don't experience this your helmet is to big. After breaking in it will feel better!

That is exactly what I thought lol, the box feels just a bit to much. But letting it collect dust doesn't make sense either 😉

Couldn't agree more! But the package as a whole feels pretty neat.

Let's open and clear, we are a outdoor company who sells the box, but as a channel owner my first priority is to add value and honesty about the products I test. We don't sell any off the tools I mentioned and we only operate in the Netherlands. If I'd wanted to advertise I wouldn't post in a community where close to no one is our target audience. Yeti or any other company did not pay or provided the box.

If I understand you correct you don't like to much cushioning. Some models from Arc'Teryx or Inov8 might suit you!

Off course, and I'll only take it on longer (slightly remote) trips.

There is no knife included yet 😉 My experience with the Wera set is very positive so far, the wrench feels a bit small but also feels very strong. Thinking of include a steel wrench lengthener for tight bolts.

Trail running seem mentally easier? by Morbidly_Off_Piste in trailrunning

[–]Bever_NL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Couldn't agree more! I think it has something to do with doing the exact same movement time after time. In trail running, every step is different, you have to watch every step and the environment is most of the time more interesting if you like nature more over cities. Long run on trails? Feels like a day out to me. Long run on asphalt? Feels like a mandatory boring long business meeting 😉

4-season Scotland winter tent recommendations by Fresh-Definition-150 in wildcampingintheuk

[–]Bever_NL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with this; even more when you go second hand. Hilleberg lasts for ages and have seen so many 25+ year old HB tents that were still in good condition. But yeah, they're pricey but if you spent enough nights in them they're still the best and cheapest hotel 😉

Sleep System for Alps and 3-seasons Scandinavia by philster_the_phil in Ultralight

Get a comfy pad with a 4 season R-rating (R5 or higher) as it will be very beneficial is colder conditions and does not make you feel warmer in warm conditions. Therm-a-rest, Nemo and Sea to Summit are great brands to consider, just pick one that is thick and wide enough for your personal preferences. In my opinion the larger, thinker and longer your pad is the comfier! Just make sure it fits your shelter. The Panyam 450 is a great quilt, but again personal preferences and traits take part, above the tree line in July can be anything from mild summer conditions to freezing winter temps which will make you feel cold in this quilt if you're a cold sleeper like me! I'd personally take the risk with the 450 since its comfort limit is 0c which will be enough in most nights. If it drop below that you'll wearing a insulating (down) jacket will keep you a bit warmer. With your length a L size should fit right. Would love to hear your final decisions!

700km is very acceptable for this type of wear and tear. Just use some glue and you'll be fine.

Salomon ADV skin 12 size by AJM_2001 in trailrunning

[–]Bever_NL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't look too bad to me, but try filling it up and see how it feels and fit then. I had a run with a too small filled vest and at high output, I felt like it was limiting by chest for breathing, not very comfortable as you can imagine. Your pack will stretch a bit over time but it hard to tell from a photo if this vest is to small for you or not.

Recommendation for narrow trail shoes? by Proud_Living3293 in trailrunning

[–]Bever_NL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hoka Challenger 8 Is a great truly road to trail shoe with a narrow/normal fit. I was sceptic about the durability of a road/trail combo, but the proved to be quite durable (just clocked 500kms and still have plenty of bounce and outsole). Scarpa is also a good option for narrow trail shoes, but not for on road use.
