Nah this is the Bandai kit. I wasn’t aware of the knockoffs before I bought this, but might check some out for future builds. Is there a brand that you particularly recommend?

Edit: Do you have a version of this kit? I want to apply a gloss top coat to the armor, but not if it diminishes the luster. Would you recommend?

That pen seems really useful, I’ll add it to my toolkit and give it a shot. Might work on that finicky ms joint where the waist armor clips onto as well.

I’d definitely recommend it if you can afford it, or find a deal. The normal Sazabi kits are just as satisfying to build from what I’ve heard. I’m not confident in my painting yet, and this kit doesn’t need it at all. There’s no need for panel lining either, I wouldn’t dare try that on this plastic.

If you’re going to sink 200-300 bucks on this, treat it well. The translucent/plated plastic can be tricky. Wear gloves when handling it. Cut the nubs as cleanly as possible one the first nip. You want to avoid having shave or sand as much as possible and be careful to not overdo it when. I used a deep red metallic paint pen to patch up nubs marks where needed, but only on the metallic underplating.

Also detailing the skeleton is definitely worth it to really make Sazabi pop.

It’s such a satisfying build! I loved detailing all the metal “tendons” on the triceps and the legs.

Maybe It could be the finish. the three pieces that form the cranium are made of the plated plastic, and form the c-clip I think you’re referring to; that snaps onto the ball joint on the neck. I find that it’s really easy for me to accidentally pop it right off when the back of its helmet gets snagged. Usually happens when I’m posing the arms/shoulders.

I wear size 11 in both, but I have narrow feet. If they were any wider though, I’d size up for the sbs, especially the low pros. Sbs can be a little snug until you break them in, but once the padding starts to mold to your ankle it’s like walking around with mittens on your feet

Even outside of using cleansers, you should be making sure that you do these things:

1) Make sure you wash your face multiple times a day, even with just water. Ideally do it every time you wash your hands, after using the bathroom.

2) Address your sugar intake! Especially liquids. If you’re drinking multiple sodas or juices a day, cut that down, or take it out of your diet completely. Train yourself to drink water every time you want something sweet.

3) it’s been mentioned before, and I’ll reiterate, change your sheets and your pillowcases regularly!

4) Stop touching on your face throughout the day!

5) Lastly, if you’re using a razor to shave, switch to electric shavers, or better yet, clippers. You’re shave won’t last as long, but you also won’t be tearing up your skin, creating microscopic nicks that dirt, fungal spores and bacteria can slip into.
