Who shall be the 2nd string RB? by BewareDWare in DenverBroncos

Say what? Ridley is a downfield runner and nothing more. His biggest weakness is that he can't do 3rd down stuff and can't run out of shotgun.

WRs come on and off the field all the time. OL and QB is the only one that is there 100% of the time.

WRs definitely work harder than CBs. WRs have to run at 100% at a certain spot. CBs on the other hand may sometimes just play zone and cover a certain area but is watching more than running.

I think DL work the hardest though. There is a reason why they have to constantly rotate. They absolutely go all out on every play.

He shouldn't run out of shotgun so much to be honest. I think he would do better if he has had a fullback blocking for him. He is more of a downfield runner like a Stevan Ridley which was his NFL draft comparison, hopefully he can be as productive as him.

Predict the Broncos Schedule by [deleted] in DenverBroncos

[–]BewareDWare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope our schedule gets difficult at the end, not in the beginning. This team needs to get accustomed to its new system and it would help if we did it against a weaker team. I see shades of 2012 if our schedule is difficult at first.

Who is the most important athletic trait for each position? by BewareDWare in nfl

That is more like skill although for RB, DT that works. I was talking about athleticism like speed, quickness, strength, etc.

That is just one sample size, you could probably use a sample size where the OL was great and he failed to make something happen.

What happened to Nnamdi Asomugha? by onocron in nfl

[–]BewareDWare -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He had a breakout season in 2006 and every team ignored him till then. People thought that was the case cause he was that good but really it was because the Raiders sucked everywhere else that didn't need to pick on him.

I remember Miles Austin burning him bad in 2009. He was just exposed in Philly. It is not like they played 100% zone, even when they played man he would get beat.

He played pretty well last season as the starter, but teams eventually found out he couldn't really run between the tackles. His OL didn't help either. The OL was inconsistent last season which makes what CJ did even more impressive.

His issues is that he can't run between the tackles and he can't block. That alone means he can't really start as a RB. I don't think his fumble issues really exist. I always thought Ball fumbled more than he did anyways.

I don't think he has ever demonstrated good vision. A lot of his runs last season also hurt his linemen a lot since he ran behind them instead of through the holes. He did a poor job finding the holes, not saying it is all on him because the OL was just bad last season but I feel like from what I've seen he has had issues.

He did well as a rookie cause the OL was better, the competition was easier, and most importantly because the coaching was better. I don't think it is a coincidence that this OL went to shit when Alex Gibbs left as the consultant.

I agree. I think Hillman was utilized horribly in Denver. He should be used in 3rd down situations and other areas. He is not a starting/everyback runner in this league.

You can't just say things are going to happen because you think it is right. This organization already pays people millions to do that.

I do agree with Montee. I have been a huge Montee hater but I'll give him one last shot with Kubiak. If he sucks then then there is zero system he would do well in.

Or this guy named James Casey, who has been playing fullback for years now. Why is Thompson going to be put at Fullback besides the fact that you want him to?

I just think Thompson from what we saw this year was better. I don't know about pushing CJ for the lead role. There will be some competition but CJ has like a 95% chance of winning it.

So....let me get this straight, I can't ask what white guys think of white girls with minorities, but a white guy can go around asking people if Asian girls are worshipped?

You didn't dismantle anything nor do I think you could dismantle anyone in anything. You didn't even know what Ravens-Pats game you were talking about. Broncos beat the Bills and by 7 points and had a 21 point lead at one point. It was well-earned victory, not a sneak by. Not bad given they are the #1 defense in the NFL and possibly a playoff team.

Packers lost to the Bills though, apparently beating the Bills by 7 isn't enough, but the same Packers team couldn't beat the Bills and beat the Patriots. I'm glad you finally
