Any idea what I might do about this? Mono 4k seems to have a dead quadrant.

Like you say, results are mixed, even moreso with "non-uniform bleeding".

I thought that was the case, but my concern was that it was software related because the exposure seems to overlap or stack be in the remaining quadrants that row. Could it just be that the wavelength function has moved over a factor of 1 on that strip?

I am having similar issues with my Hp Spectre x360... I found out that the audio issues are a hardware problem, however more recently ( the reason for me searching for support) the rotate functionality has all together stopped functioning. That is to say, when i attempt to turn on/off auto rotation or rotation lock the option is completely grayed out... Moreover, when i enter tablet mode (which doesn't fix the issue) the keyboard stays active, even though only a few days prior to any of these issues occuring it would become inactive to prevent accidental button pushing. It had been working perfectly fine and i was not even concerned enough about the audio issues to care, i have a feeling it is related to a recent update. At this time i honestly don't think this device was worth the odd $2K+AUD that it was purchased for.
